seen many movies all different genres, this one has got to be the creepiest when it comes to evil children, second would be the children of the damned 1964 but it is sci-fi, where as this child is the perfect example of the very human condition of being lost in your own thoughts and fantasy world, rejecting reality, constantly thinking out loud in order to influence others who are weak and unaware they have become brainwashed. creepy.

The rich lush visuals of this film contrast the dark characters of the boys giving the viewer a feeling of off-balance, a slight unease, which is only intensified by the music at the closing scene. Good performances from all, especially the mother the son and number 1. If you like psychological thrillers don't miss this one. 4.5/5 and faved. Thank you uplinkers.

5/5 Kristofferson was excellent as a sailor! The Kid was confused and psycho hanging around with the wrong crowd. What they did to the cat was a horror, but goes with the psychotic behavior of the kids friend.
