A Clockwork Orange is the finest film that has ever been made, in my view. Stanley Kubrick has made so many masterpieces, and is by far the best director that ever graced our world. A Clockwork Orange is simply his finest hour! The film grabs you and glues you to your seat from start to finish. Malcolm McDowell gives us a shining example of superior acting, and the movie is as perverted as any of Kubrick's masterpieces (and then some!). It contains horrifying violence, extreme emotions, perversity and weirdness at it's very worst. It all boils down to serve you a plethora of thoughts for you to take with you and contemplate, after the film ends. However, with all the perversity bursting out of this film, you will probably NOT like this film the first time you see it. I know I didn't. Fortunately, I gave it a second chance, and thought: Hey, it was actually not bad at all. After the third time, I was lost for words. After the fourth time, there was little doubt in my mind, that this was the finest film ever made, and regardless of how many great masterpieces I see, A Clockwork Orange still towers above them. I'm sure you'll agree, if you give it the chance it deserves, although it may require for you to see it more than once.

Wonderful movie. It is so original and the storyline is amazing, the acting is amazing. And its not really as disturbing as everyone makes it out to be. This is a great movie. A MUST SEE!

Still one of my favorites. It has so many differents aspects to it, and makes you sit back and say hmmm. 10/10

This film was released on the day I was born which captured my interest with 13, 14 years. Way too soon, one might think, but having heard about both physical and psychological torture from a family member who experienced it both under Tito, I stayed calm while watching the scenes. I always found it strange that the definite failure of a propaganda (here: the exorcism of violence - with violence!) would not keep a government from twisting the results for better leverage, simply omitting the tiny fact that nothing has been acomplished, quite the opposite. Seeing as what is lying before us all in the years to come, from 911 to global warming to bank panic to detention centers and so on, I wonder if Anthony Burgess was simply visionary inclined as he wrote "A Clockwork Orange" or was it just afterpains of the Cold War, formed to words?

i heard that the book was a real piece but i dont have the resources to get it so i watched this instead and by god, it is awesome. it was weird and unique. the setting was somehow familiar and yet different. i like that. true it was filled with violence and oversexualized things but heck.. the story needs that. i dont like the protagonist, even though some part of me wants to like him but no, i just dont. its the plot that i liked. 9.5/10 and an extra .5 because i am singing in the rain :)

this movie is quite the thing. It actually inspired copy-cat crimes, and as a result was pulled off the market two years after it's release by the director. Then in the 2000 re-release again copy-cat crimes came up again. Not a movie for kids or people with mental instability. Truly a devious film.

excellent movie with a very interesting take on the future. I really love the language in it. the rhyme talking and the slang was odd and very, very british.

This movie destroyed my childhood O_O, real mental movie. can't wash away the memories from this sickness. i wish someone nuked the movie out of existence....KA-BOOOOOOOM!

Love this movie. Always windered if Last House on the Left(1972) borrowed the 'criminal returning to the scene of the crime and getting revenged by a victim' for its main plotline.
