There are so many bad movies and just when you give up a movie like American Beauty comes along, and makes you believe that great movies can still be made. The film is excellent, and the cast is incredible.

One of the few movies that will still be good as time goes on? I like it, and remember it being one of the movies, along with 'Midnight in the garden of good and evil' and 'seven', that made kevin spacey a household name.

Love this movie. Has many interpretations, it's up for you to decided what the moral is. 9/10

i love the dark, dry humour of this movie, and its something only spacey could pull off in the lead role. i wouldnt describe spacey's character as going through a mid life crisis - it was more of a revelation, or an awakening, and i love watching it unfold. the depressed daughter annoyed the hell me, but i thought the OCD wife was fantastic; she reminded me of so many women i know! 10/10 for one of my all time favourite flicks.

What a interesting and beautiful movie 10/10 defintely a favorite and a rewatch someday!

great movie. the actors are superb. also the philiosophical message of the movie was life changing for me back when i first saw it when i was merely 13.

This movie comes to mind everytime I see a white plastic bag floating aimlessly and lonesomely in the wind.

ONe of the most amazingly beautiful movies I have seen. Kevin Spacey is just amazing in this film. Slightly complex, makes you think alot, and draws you into all of the characters. The music alone is worth watching this for (beautifully haunting tunes.) 8/10

This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Its so well thought out and unexpected. I was in tears all throughout the movie. The casting and performances were exceptional. I especially liked Wes Bentley's character Ricky.
