It wasn't at all what I expected, I was forbidden to watch this so I had it all built up as something terrifying in my head, it really wasnt though, very good movie though 8/10

i have wanted to watch this movie for a long time, it is one of the best thriller ever, chilling, scary and keeps your mind working. Anthony hopkins is the unbelievably good at being a villian esp.(hannibal) jodie frost did a great perfomance too.

I always forget how much i love this movie. Anthony Hopkins has to be one of my favorite actors (mainly because he's from down the road from me) But also because he is so diverse. Jodie foster give a tremendous performance. I do enjoy Hannibal and red dragon too! All time classic!

No matter how many times I watch this movie, I don't need to hit the FF button :D It places us at the edge and it has the rare quality to make us feel as if we're playing a part in it with Clarice and Dr. Lecter. Fantastic!

Best movie ever. Such a great classic. The acting was so amazing from everyone. I absoloutly loved the storyline. Very entertaining. This is a MUST SEE!! You don't know what your missing if you haven't seen this.

I can never get enough of this movie. One of the best I've ever seen. Every aspect of this film comes together in perfect harmony. A rare treat.

Jodie Foster gives an excellent performance! You really get into her character's head. Meanwhile, you don't see Hannibal reveal himself in this one very much. His character puzzled me, disgusted me, and facinated me (all at the same time)! I watch the following sequels, Hannial (2001) and Red Dragon (2002) and now looking back on both in comparison don't measure up to the original. Both rely on shock value and gore.

I borrowed it from the library, because my friend told me to watch it and I went on iTunes and bought it the next day. It's an amazing movie and I love Anthony Hopkins's voice. :)

One of my all time favorite movies... Anthony Hopkins gives me friggen chills and there would have been nooobody better for the role. He's intense, freaky and down right dark. Jodie was amazing as usual and played the role perfectly... a must see movie 10 outta 10 for me!

An incredibly brilliant film! I cannot believe that it has taken me this long to watch it, I really enjoyed it. They certainly don't make films like this anymore.

great movie

One of my all-time favorites. Really like the camera work that lets Hopkins deliver his scariest lines with only himself in the camera. Allows audience to feel the strain of the cat and mouse game on Foster. Transvestite role was flawless and creepy. I didn't recognize the actor until I saw Heat, where he plays a cop. He really has a range. If you like high-level suspense, no gore and intelligent acting this is a must see.
