Just like Will Smith's "I'm Legend", nothing happens in this movie. I have problem with the story line, the dialogues and the ending (no reason to drag the movie for 2 hours when the ending could have easily happened earlier)...Good acting by A list actors but let down by plot and dialogue....Watch it just for sake of watching it.

This film is a delight. The writing is solid, the dialog sparked with humor, the heroes are more than caricatures and cardboard cut-outs, the villains are worthy anti-heroes and the back-up is wonderful. The performances of Ed Harris, Viggo Mortensen and Jeremy Irons as the main protag-/antagonists are sterling.

I cannot believe some ppl complain about this gr8 movie.This is how a Western should be.And actually in reality back in the"Wild West"days it wasn't that often when ppl got killed in gunfights like in the movies.The actual"Showdown at the OK Corral"was the bloodiest single gunfight in History where 4 ppl got killed!And the pistol fights were the way as it shows in this flick they actually held their Colts in their hands down by their sides,and not doin"Fast draws"as in Western movies!!!4/5 a must see if u like Westerns Ed Harris is one of my Favorite Actors and looks like he's also a gr8 Director!!!He had this done almost to perfection gr8 Casting and just the right amount of violence,action and humor.I really liked the ending coz when us guys are in love we seem to pick the Lady in question over our best friends no matter how many times she shit on us while the best friend was always and will be loyal to us Thanx cheers

grew up watching all the old westerns. happy to see hollywood can still make a good classic style western flick.

This is what a movie should be: story, characters, production, originality. No movie is ever perfect though. Rene Zellwhatever looks like she was stung by a bumble bee - annoying was her part and she played the shit out of it.

I liked this movie and I agree to what some others have said about friendship and loyalty. The real world is not always a pretty one, nor in some movies. It is a fresh touch to add the kind of friendship that makes you smile when they talk. It shows the human side, and you will easier bond with the characters. The downside of this movie is Renee Zellweger. I am sure there was some point in hiring her to do the job, but she did a poor one. As so often. No matter Renee, I will watch the movie again some day because of the roles played by Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen.

You'll never leave my heart...The song at the end was so nice, you wouldn't belive it was sangd by Ed Harris, his voice sounds a lot like Jonny Cash's. True story and good movie too :)

WoW! what a Beautiful movie)shows what a real friendship should be all about. nothing (no money, no fame, especially no women!) can stand in the way. NOW, as far as the acting goes... everyone done a great job! apart from... yea! Zellweger! not a good choice at all! 8.5/10

As far as westerns go I enjoyed this one. The characters of Harris and Mortensen complimented each other quite well. A well done western. 3/5

Best western movie. The acting was very good, the movie could be boring at some parts. I really enjoyed it though. Definetly worth watching.

it was ok not good or bad i like western movies so i was expecting some good shootouts or some pistol whipping haha but wasnt much of that had a good storyline and always good to see ed harris good actor
