Awful, pretentious, latin art movie about a serious subject - the fascist, oppresion of the Argentinian people by the military. The male lead, Banderas, whos main clain to fame as an actor resides in getting the over 40 western female set hot and bothered about his smoldering Latin charm - he makes one implausible, mind numbing error after another. This moody, ineffectual imbecile realizes *finally* that he and his family are in a country where people were being tortured and abducted at whim and that his own family is under scrutiny and at great risk. What does he do? Not only stays but provokes the death squad officials and allows his daughter to remain with him. Its just sooo stupid. And if thats not enough they through this weird supernatural clairvoyant thingy into the mix. Pretentious, artsy latin nonsense...Don't bother...
