Yeah there are better 80's teen movies out there but this was still a pleasure to watch because unlike other films from this time period they tackled the really sensitive issue of teen suicide (not a plot spoiler because it is mentioned in the description). A nice blast from the past because this is the first time i've seen it in nearly 20 years :)
