Filmed in a simple way in a common location of Glasgow, with no famous actors, the movie has a kind of thriller atmosphere (due to a deep painful secret kept by the heroine) all mixed with sexual tension. Definitely worth a watch. I give it a 7/10

I loved this one ! It's slow but really good. Andrea Arnold's script is very interesting and the actors are both excellent. It's worth a watch.

It's set in Red Road in Glasgow, you might have trouble understanding the accent. It's an intense drama and realistic. Scotland really is this grim. Contains probably the most offensive chat up line ever. Do not expect to live happily ever after.

Good acting and slow tension weren't enough for me with this one. Too many scenes that were unnecessary or ran long and all for only marginally satisfying ending. If I was the writer I would have fallen asleep while writing this. For those of you that posted that these aren't the full versions, I'm thankful that they aren't and have to wonder what else could they add. The movie should have English subtitles for American audiences since the accents are so thick (a common problem with British/Scottish films which makes them more confusing than true foreign language films). I'd give it 2 stars.

after checking the stated "run time" for this film i find that it's only 113min, but there is 124+min so there is something off with that although it wouldn't be the first film to end in such a abrupt way and there is supposed to be 2 more parts to this story or so that is what i have been able to gather from the net, but it does seem to be missing something. i give it 4/5 for the great acting and the scene that there is a greater story that is waiting to be uncovered.
