REVIEW OF PRESENT HOLLYWOOD MOVIES:
This is a review of present Hollywood,and it's problem with no longer making movies.Yes,that's right,this is a review of Hollywood moviemaking itself.We have some good examples on this site;"Nightmare on elm St."remake,and "Iron Man 2"and every remake that Hollywood is remaking.In other words,Hollywood cannot make movies anymore!!

It's a fact;all the Independent studios,and foreign movie makers are making all the good movies now;what we get is "Iron Man 2"and "Return of elm Street"and remakes of remakes.Yes,remakes of remakes!!WHY is this going on?

Good question;as you notice,one of the best movies on this site,"You don't know Jack"was made by tv producers.It is one of the best written,acted,and produced movies.And it was made for tv.In fact,the Sopranos,"Mad Men"and "Breaking Bad",including some other tv series,are better than the movies that Hollywood is turning out.It's a question of who is running Hollywood now,and how they have given up on actual writing of original movies anymore.Hollywood is so indulged with itself,that one of the last years saw"Crash"as winning the academy award,which was a story completely involved with the people living in Los Angeles,CA.VERY self involved.

However,considering that the United States of America is in such flux,that many people are so angry,disgusted,and outright ready to rebel against the federal govt.,and disgusted with their leaders,their govt.,and every bit of business and corporate life of this country,it's not surprising that Hollywood,also,is falling on it's face.Consider "Furry Vengence"which is pretty much a remake of "Dr.Doolittle"with a fat lead actor,and cute animals.This is considered a major movie."The Mummy #3 " was a dismal,horrible sequel,and a lot of others are worse,or just as bad.

One outstanding critter is the "comic book action movie".Consider that all these movies,are exactly the same,only with different characters,and different names;otherwise,they're exactly the same.Iron Man is just about the same as "Spider man"with physical differences,in super powers.The only real well made comic book movie,has been "The Watchmen"because the character's lives were so well written.

"Confucious says,"when a civilizations' literature sinks to the comic book,it's time for the Huns and visagoths to come over the borders."Curiously,that's what's happening,as Arizona has had to protect itself with a new anti-illegal alien law,and California itself is considering the same thing,as it's being furiously invaded by dangerous drug gangs from Mexico.However,the best picture of the year,"The Hurt Locker"is ignoring domestic problems,and instead has fixated on our(another)war in a foreign land,that the US is entangled in,and cannot get out of.

That's great;"Hurt Locker"was a good picture.However the vast amt.of Hollywood pictures are rated about "F"for fucked up,and failures.They now put out more lousy remakes,and more lousy,senseless,unentertaining,stupid pictures than any other country.At least the Danish produced"The girl with the dragon tattoo"and the French,Chinese,Japanese,and even the Russians(sometimes)put out very good pictures.

So,what's our exscuse?We have Hollywood,why are we reduced to grinding out remakes and action-comic book junk?Is this the end of American pictures,as we know it?I ask this question of my readers;what do you think?I personally think that Hollywood has had it;the few good independent producers are pretty much the exception.Cable tv. has the money and intelligent viewers to be able to produce movies such as "You don;t know Jack"about Jack Kavorkian,that Hollywood would never dare to try and produce.One reason is,older movie viewers no longer go to theatres,as the crowds at movie theatres are raunchy,noisy,undisciplined by the theatre,and disgusting.People older than 29 stay home,and rent Netflix,and watch cable or satellite tv.,or watch tv. and movies online.

Hollywood has a great and productive heritage,and it's sad to see it die;great people like Cecil B.DeMille produced"The Ten Commandments";"The Wizard of Oz,""All About Eve"and many other great older pictures.Instead of letting everyone see these classics,Ted Turner bought many of the great black and white pictures,and has a monopoly on them.(I guess I'll have to marry the old jack-ass,if I want to see some of my favorites again,yuck.)If I had my way,I'd put all the old b/w's in a big museum,so we could all share them,without having to tickle the great Mr.Turner in his favorite spots,while looking like Greta Garbor.

WOW what a movie. So scary and creepy. I love it. A lot of jumps when i saw it for the first time. I love the way they recorded it. Its most scary this way. This kind of movies are so good. And this film is the best of its kind. PERFECT. 5/5 for me.

BRILLIANT PLOT, it carries you on a journey as a third person into a zombie world. story continues into the equal and will have you on the edge of your seat.

Ok another live footage movie...but at least they have a reason to be taping it...(news cast)not someone taping their everday lives...hehe! I thought this movie was awesome...similar to Quarintine..not a boring moment,keeps yah interested,and the actors are good too.You definitly must watch this.Im gonna rate it a 5/5 fo sho..lol
