The veehd link isn't dubbed!! The remake seemed a lot more coherent than the original, although Daniel Craig was perfect for this role. Can't wait to watch the next two.

Is the millennium miniseries version also on this site?. Would prefer watching that version.

Liked Finchers version more but this is my favorite of the Swedish Trilogy. The other two were directed with no style whatsoever by another director. Very flat footed interpretations. This first one is excellent though.

this original is much better then the remake that is out this year (2012)...i would definitely recommend this one over the other unless you can't read the subtitles...the story is really great...the acting kewl...and the lead women is awesome...this is part of a trilogy and all are worth watching...enjoy!!!

Unlike so many others I dont call David Finchers own take on "the girl with the dragon tattoo a REMAKE but a different VERSION. Both directors took what they did from the book and made the movie in their own image. Both were amazing and were different from eachother. Both directors did a fantastic job and Lisbeth Salander comes off as a fucking badass no matter who does the film.

I watched and liked both versions, the Swedish version ending was a lot better.

To me the remake was more intense, the use of the camera and the light in general offered a more dramatic atmosphere and added more mystery and tension to the plot. I am not saying the original movie (this one) is bad, not at all, but it gave me the feeling of a movie made for the TV.

Like a lot of others that have commented on here, I think that the Swedish version was better. I'm not sure why exactly, it could just be that it was the first one that I watched. Mostly I think the actors that they chose for this version better suited the character. I haven't read the books yet though-so keep that in mind. The American version had better visuals and overall shooting style. They both had some differences in the story as well. I liked the ending in the Swedish version better. Either way I thought both were good and worth watching. I personally love the story and wish there were more than just the three.
