Great Story, and a great interpretation on film by Schumacher. Not only does Cate Blanchet resemble's the late Veronica Guerin but her performance was also wonderful, as well as the fanatical performances by ciaran hinds as gangster/Guerin's inside source,and Gerard McSorley an Irish mob boss who Guerin pursue's as her main target in her war against drug smuggling in Ireland. This film is worth the watch 4.5/5 SEE IT!

Incredible story and such a waste of a great life. Veronica Guerin is Ireland and Ireland is what it is today because of her and others like her. I love Cate Blanchett in all her rolls and this one was excellent as well.

A beautiful and brutally honest film about an inspirational woman who fought to tell the truth until her last breath. Her death changed the course of history and at least shook up the criminal world.

I remember the day of Veronica's death like it was yesterday. At the time, I lived a couple of hundred yards from where it happened and drove by the scene on the way home from work. A wonderful, crazy, strong, brave woman. Journalists like her are a rarity. This film is well worth a watch. I find that most actors cannot do an Irish accent to save their lives but Cate was as close as anyone is likely to get, so kudos to her.

This a a great movie about a very emotional, sad, but inspiring true story. Veronica stood up for what she thought was right and stuck to it; and when I watch this movie, it makes me truly want justice. Cate Blanchett gives an excellent performance, and most all of the acting was all-around pretty darn good! If you like movies based on true stories, you will like this one. It truly is a great story, and a very good movie! Hope you all enjoy! :-)

The world lost a true hero on June 26, 1996 but she made a difference. Cate Blanchett was brilliant in this film and it is a must watch for all ages. 10/10

I have been wanting to watch this movie for some time and reading reading about Veronica's murder. Powerful movie. A showcase of courage and conviction. How sad that her death finally made the local authorities wake up but isn't that the usually way. 10/10
