Altman Is A Director That Loves To Take Risk & Be Unpredictable, Not One Of His Best But Still Very Enjoyable!

Pretty good movie, didn't totally blow me away. The dialog and cast are the best part. The storyline is just okay. I don't get the Kubrick reference because this is borderline comedy (more of a dramedy) and Kubrick wasn't a comedy director...I totally disagree that it's one of the best films ever made, but think it's good for at least a one time watch. Different person, different opinions. All around a good sleeper...Enjoyed "Magnolia", "Crash", or "Babel" better for this type of movie where the stories are tied together, though none of them have the comedy element. I'm sure there are movies that also have the comedy element but don't feel like racking my brain for them right now. Anyway, a weak 3/5 for me.

fuuucckk. i got to the part where the kid went to sleep with a concussion and i had to turn it off. movie's too intense for me i guess.

another entertaining "several stories in one movie" film. unpredictable, humorous, sad too...and Bonus- tom waits is in it!

Wow, that was a long movie! Really had good dialogue and acting. I enjoyed all the different storylines. Some funny parts, actually a lot of funny parts! Worth seeing.
