Great movie 4.5/5 great story line I don't usually like romance but the way it was portrayed in this movie was meaningful and legitimate.

Paul Gross does a remarkable job in this film. Although, as far as war movies go, this is not one of my favourites. It's not because it was a bad film or did anything wrong its that it was to slow. It didn't focus a lot on the actual fighting. There was a battle at the beginning and end, and maybe a skirmish here or there. Not heavy on the action, which the trailer looked out to be. I was disappointed in that, however it was still a decent movie. As i said before, the focus was less on battles, and put more towards love. Yes love story is always nice, but the movie itself is called Passchendaele, not love story of the early wartimes. Like it should have been for on the front, but thats just my opinion. The effects and cinematography was excellent and during the scenes of fighting contained beautiful effects, accuracy, and made you feel like you were there. Give it a watch and see for yourself :D

This is a good movie, its more than I expected. A good performance from Paul Gross and based on a true story gives the whole picture a different feel. who said Canadians can't make movies? A story of War and love and much different for the usual all American affairs, worth a watch.

8/10. It's has good action bits in it,but it is one of those(Look how great we are) flicks.Realistic? No, Entertaining? Yes!
