I believe this is one of the most exquisite films ever made. Daniel Day-Lewis does a phenomenal performance portraying Christy Brown, and the film is a work of art. Thanks so much for the upload!

An INSPIRING story of how a poor Irish Dublin boy, Christy Brown, crippled by severe Cerebral Palsy, overcomes his handicap through the use of his only functional limb, his left foot, to become an accomplished painter and an argumentative poet-author. This TRUE LIFE story made me cry non-stop. His main encouragement and support was his indomitable mother, Mrs Brown, who recognized the intelligence and humanity in the lad everyone else regarded as a burden and an idiot. Able only to speak in guttural sounds, he is mistakenly believed to be retarded for the first ten years of his life. When he struggled to write with his foot – on the bare floorboards of the house, he reminded me so much of a spastic hemiplegic I had the honour to meet a year ago. Oh lord, how real this film feels. Daniel Day Lewis not only insisted on remaining in his wheelchair between takes but also tried to eat and drink like Christy, and managed to break two ribs while maintaining his hunched-over posture (BBC)!!

We had this movie on a VCD back in the days... very nspiring.
