This is a great movie. I watched this years ago when it first came out for the first time and this movie made me NOT want to try drugs. As always DiCaprio is superb in his acting. Great movie. 4/5 Stars.

Amazed at the amount of talent DiCaprio had from an early age. I'm happy to say I have never tried any drugs and will never touch it. Good movie showing the severity of taking drugs. 10/10

You never understand what really motivated this intelligent adolescent, a gifted basketball player and sensitive writer, to descend into the hellish life of a drug addict and hustler on the mean streets of New York.

A lot better than I thought it was going to be! I love Leonardo DiCaprio, he is always great. I liked the plot in this. I don't really like movies about drugs though. Worth watching.

man i was just thinking about this last night if River Phoenix hadent of died the year befor he would have been in this role and id could see it too i know he would of been in this movie strange hey!!!

When I saw this movie I tried to keep from crying but days later I watched it again. I love this movie, and of course Leo did what he does best. I think this movie should be shown in schools when thy talk about the dangers of drug use.

yes,yes,yes. there will never be another movie like this that describe the danger of drugs and effects caused by them on the people taking and the people around them. amazing 10/10

Love this movie, in parts it lacks but all in all extremely very well done!! Leo is just his usual boyish, lanky and lovable self!!! How the mother does not mnove to another country, but as a true story its well inspiring and all wanna be junkies WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!!!!! 9/10
