Man, he lost a ton of weight for this role. Much better than I expected.

Very grey and sad movie but i could relate to Bale's character cause i once stayed awake for 2 days and began to halucinating things very creepy go try it if you dare lol. 6/10

This did not live up to the hype, It's certainly not a cult film or modern classic of any kind. This film was too predictable and the only thing that saved it was Michael ironside. One thing it did have in its favour was it's clear attempt to deal with paranoia and guilt in which they conveyed this across well and it looked pretty good from a production perspective. I was just so disappointed with this one.

Awesome crazy flick, He ate an apple a day for several months to lose weight for this movie. It's typical for people who are depressed. Totally bizarre and out there great. This movie is definetly a head trip. Havent seen anything like it since singing cowboy with robert downey jr. 8/10 couldve had a lil more closure but it was good. enjoy

this is one of my fave movies - christian bale got so emaciated that from the side you can see his stomach has sunken in...the plot is as good as a Carl's Burger ( i kept thinking of it when I saw Christian Bale so skinny and he needed food BAAAAAD) - anyway, he is guilt-ridden as the main character, he is a long-term insomniac and the ending will leave you in a shock. And also you will never look at the game HANGMAN the same way again. WATCH this movie.

This was definitely a disturbing film, especially for people who suffer from insomnia. I've gotta say I wasn't too thrilled about watching this. It was kind of dull and just predictable at times. It's worth one watch though, not knocking it, just wasn't exciting is all. Christian Bale gave a great performance and I was extremely shocked by his appearance as well. I mean he REALLY got into this role. I'll give it a 6/10.

This is one of the all time best psychological thrillers to date. Christian Bale whom plays a magnificent role lost so much weight to play this character. It intensifies the whole movie, and it is a highly recommended watch if you have never seen it. I give it a perfect 6 / 6

very strange movie

All I can say is 'Wow!' (okay maybe I can say a little bit more). This was some of Bale's finest acting and takes a very realistic look at a plausible unraveling of the human mind which I found fascinating. For a kind of in the same ball park comparison I would reference 'Shutter Island' although this was far more gripping. I give it a 5/5 - for those who may not like this kind of movie I think you would still agree this was some top quality acting and cinema. Thanks!

It's a great movie, I really enjoyed it even though I read the whole plot including the ending before watching it because I didn't know this website and I didn't know that I'll be able to find it at any DVD store in town (they're not really friends with older movies here LOL) and I wasn't so sure about buying something online that I don't know if it's good enuff for me or not so I did and months, maybe a year later, I know this website and I got this movie (I think it was the first movie I downloaded from this great site) and by then I forgot what the twist was I knew there was something but I forgot it so I enjoyed it after all !
