This is by far the most amazing war movie that I have ever watched, amazing storyline, realistic war scenes with much blood and tear shedding drama, Im a korean and everytime I listen to the soundtrack of this movie will remind me of the suffering, pride and unbreakable love for the korean country.

I usually don't watch war movies but being korean this was a "need to watch" film. Was hesitant at first but I love this movie. Makes me cry every time I watch it.

[rating 5/5] Brilliant movie....I wouldn't go as far as saying it is the "best" war movie, its still a very good movie but you kinda get the feeling the Korean film makers took bits out of Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers, the soundtrack is more or less the same to those 2 big Hollywood productions, if you've seen those 2 than you know what I mean. I'm not knocking this Korean production, all I'm saying is that in order to be considered the best, they have to bring in something fresh/innovative to the screens. Till today, more or less all War films are still picking ideas off Saving Private Ryan. Not taking away anything from the Koreans because they did an excellent job. Hats off to them to a well put together film.[version - Stagevu has Eng subs]

A superb Korean masterful creation about love and war, this film captivated me from start to finish, even though I don't watch war movies as a rule. It tugged at my heart and left me with a tear or two in my eye, and will stay with me for a long time. Wonderful sound track too. Solid 5/5

Great Korean war film, with some brutal battle sequences. This makes Saving Private Ryan look like a fun walk in the park. Excellent they don't come much better than this 9/10

Found this on IMDB top war films. Got a good feel for the characters, action scene's similar to saving private ryan. Big difference is that this film made me cry twice, i don't usually get sentimental but the two scene's are shot and acted out to perfection. For that it gets a good 8/10
