Watch Katyn: On 17 September 1939, a group of Polish officers and soldiers are imprisoned by the Soviet Army on the border of Poland. Anna and her daughter Nika travel from Krakow to meet her husband and officer Andrzej and they try to convince him to leave the soldiers and escape back home. However, Andrzej refuses to leave the troop and is deported to USSR. Later the Soviet tells that the Polish officers had been massacred by the Germans in the Katyn Forest with a shot on the back of the neck. However Anna retrieves Andrzej's diary and discloses that the soldiers had been actually murdered by the Soviet Army. |

I don't know yes it was informational but for me I wanted to see more of crazy stalin; I got bored with it an hour in. It was like the movie was done then.

Powerful movie, documenting what happened with the top Polish military and civil leadership from the communists. I would not be surprised as time continues on that we will here of more war atrocities committed during the WWII era and that we find out that good ole US of A has crimes that may be comparable to some of thuggish ways of all warring countries! 5/5

Dazzling, mind expanding, chilling, eye opening drama touching on one of the best kept secrets in the U.S.A.--Jews were not the only ones who suffered systematic slaughter during this madness. Stalin was a greater monster than Hitler. Though this film just touches on one of Stalin's master plans, he in fact exterminated 20 million people in slave labor camps, the Gulag, and enforced starvation.
