This is one of the worst comedy I seen this year, the acting was terrible except for Steve Coogan, Ice T(narration), Michael Keaton and a few non lead actors. I give this movie 1 star for the few times I did laughed. I hope a sequel to this crappy movie is not in the works, no chemistry between the two lead actors.

Any movie that starts off with Dawayne The Rock Johnson and Samuel L Jackson in the opening action sequence has got to be a thrill ride. sadly it seemed to go down hill after the first five minutes .Basically the movie is about "without giving too much away, after the exit of two hot shot cops, the other guys step in to fill their shoes. Mark Whalberg and Will Farell play the other guys, that cant seem to get anything right. The supporting cast is o.k and their are plenty of New York City cameos. this is one of them new good cop, bad cop and worse cop movie's which cant seem to cut the mustard in my opinion,but make your own desceion on this one .
i'd give it a generous 3/5 stars

I caught myself laughing so hard at the movie that I missed other jokes, I count that as a mark of quality. It's definitely the most satisfying comedy I've seen this year.

You may love or loathe Ferrell and Wahlberg, but this film has genuine laugh out loud moments. Micheal Keaton doesn't take himself seriously as a hilariously distracted police chief. Not since Naked Gun, Loaded Weapon and the Hot Shot's films release has there been a film at easy making a mockery of action block busters faulting the characters rather than plot where Dwayne "the Rock" and S.L.Jackson play cliched action cops in it for the glory with absolutely no concern for public property or paperwork! Some obvious tried and tested jokes are injected to fill in the silence but in general, The Other guys has something other than an average comedy to offer.

WILL FERRELLS BEST MOVIE SINCE ANCHOR MAN! FERRELLS ACTING WAS ALOT MORE MELLOW THEN MOST ARE USED TO BUT IF YOU'VE EVER SEEN STRANGER THEN FICTION(GREAT WATCH) HES JUST AS FUNNY IF NOT FUNNY AS A SEMI SERIOUS PERSON. MARK WHALBERG WAS THE PERFECT COSTAR I REALLY ENJOY HES FUNNY STUFF WAY MORE THEN HIS SERIOUS ACTING IF YOU AGREE YOU'LL LOVE HIM IN THIS FLICK. THE STORY HAS A VERY SEMI SERIOUS UNDERTONE (MADOFF) WHICH IS QUITE FUNNY IN ITS OWN WAY. MAKE SURE YOU WATCH THE CREDITS ON THIS ONE!

The Other Guys had potential but overall the script just wasnt good enough to keep me watching or interested. The laughs are way to cheap. Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrel do not work well together for a comedy duo. Movies like this have been done before and much better. Checkout Rush Hour

THE OTHER GUYS is one of those comedy spoofs poking fun at the buddy cop genre but ultimately its about as funny as athlete's foot, the humor was either repetitive to the point where it became annoying as hell or it was the type of humor that was just childish or stupid, the only time this film was either fun or had a little bit of funny humor was every time Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson had screen time, after the point where they are no longer in it the film goes downhill fast.

The acting is a different kind of screw up altogether, I don't know who told Will Ferrel he was funny perhaps it was his parents or his girlfriend or is boyfriend but this guy is about as far from a comedian as it gets, the only thing that's funny about him is that he has a face that screams "punch me!!" the other thing about Ferrel that would be a guaranteed riot would be if he announced that he was going to take up serious acting.

Each and every character in this film is a total idiot and if you listen to the way they talk you'd swear you were watching your day care center days unfold before your very eyes and the sleazy sex talk between Will Ferrel and Eva Mendes, I never imagined that couples really talked like that to each other, for example Ferrel says to Mendes "I'm gonna do you grandpa style." What exactly does that mean? Is he gonna make his teeth fall out while their doing it? Good grief.

Overall, if this is a stupid review don't worry, this film is equally stupid and Will Ferrel needs to go back to his day job, seriously.

Alot of celebrities were in this movie. I liked the silent fight at Dwayne and Samuel funeral they were such douches. What's with taking the shoes what's that about.

How does he always get these hot girls and I love the Gator personality.
All in all the movie was actually good.
