Time just flew past with this film, Which to me is an indicator of just how well made this film was. Top notch performances all round, Bill nighy is just brilliant 10/10

Tough one... I mean the acting was good and the plot was strong, but there is this typical English feel to the movie. can't explain it. also, less sex scenes would be better. 5/10

I absolutely love this movie, it is so beautifully written and the acting is just spot on. I read the book too and this is one of those rare instances where the movie is better than the book. Well worth seeing. 10/10

Great movie. There were really dramatic parts. I thought the acting was amazing!! The storyline rocked too!! The old woman was creepy. This is definetly worth seeing.

A very dramatic and suspenseful film with a crazy plot and amazing performances! It's a must see film! I was highly entertained the whole time. 4.5/5.

Thrilling! Fantastic dialogue, Dame Judy at her best, Blanchett and Bill Nighty were also excellent...but then i wouldn't expect anything less. They are great actors.

Two tour de force performances by Cate Blanchette and Judi Dench. Amazing acting. Judi Dench is the perfect creepy and nosey old matron. Cate Blanchett is stunning and radiant. The Oscar noms were well deserved. Too bad neither won. Good script, pacing and tension. A delicious psychological thriller that doesn't disappoint.

Fantastic movie. Judy Dench is absolutely diabolical and she's very, very good at it. It would be hard for anyone to match her performance, but Cate Blanchett very nearly does it. Highly recommend it. 9 of 10.
