Watch Midnight Express: On October 6, 1970 while boarding an international flight out of Istanbul Airport, American Billy Hayes is caught attempting to smuggle 2 kilos of hashish out of the country, the drugs strapped to his body. A definite classic, the guy deserved to go to jail but not to be horribly tortured and beaten etc like that. This film is not an unfair portayel of turks, dude thats what foreign prisons are like. you dont even wanna go to a USA jail.

Was recommended this film by older family member 4 this film is well b4 my time didnt even know of the story being based on true events however loosely as put by others comments it stil was a good watch 8/10

It is a good movie. I would say every person should watch it in their lifetime. Although nothing in this is near to the truth as what really happened it's still a powerful piece.

I don't know how I have never seen this movie,but I'll tell ya right now,that it's going on my favorites list.There's a doc from nat geo(I believe) where he tells the true story of what happened to him,good doc! If you haven't seen this movie, watch it, you will not be disappointed.

if the prisons in n.america were anywhere near like this one they would be a lot smaller cause who would wanna be there. this makes turkey look bad but their not exactly saying its not like this. there's better places on the planet to be a bad guy in and this wouldnt be one of those places. this movie is pretty crazy and was well done. 2 thumbs up.

A really good movie but it could have been a great movie if the lead was played by a better actor...imagine if a young DeNiro had been in this film or a young Dustin Hoffman. Anyway its a good movie and well worth watching.

definitely a racist movie towards turks, i've been to turkey and i can tell they were embellishing it to make it look bad. the fact that greeks were acting and that they had to apologize to the turkish govt says how fictional this movie rlly is. just keep that in mind.

Wow ...what a movie. So sad at times and hard to watch. Randy quaid was good in this. And a true story.

Shocking, intense & somewhat provocative. Based on real invents, some scenes will definately stay with you for some time. Well worth watching...a classic.
