I always watch movies twice before i review but this one was 100% needed for a second viewing anyway. First time round i was thinking that i had a feeling this was going to happen as in "more cliched Hollywood trash cinema"...but i was made to change my mind.

The premise does have the usual elements for an interesting watch and the marketing campaign does draw you in like it should. My own feeling is that The Hangover, is a real surprise because it's short, sharp, funny and clever. Most recent Hollywood comedies are overlong and sentimental and while Todd Phillips' film eventually comes to a conventional ending, most of it is black, heartless and filthy. Although it's got plenty of silliness and slapstick, it's primarily a verbal comedy with a distinguished screenplay that delivers quite a few laughs. Even better, it offers two performances from relative unknowns which should, if there's any justice, make stars of Ed Helms - anger-challenged Andy from The Office - and the shambling, Belushi-like Zack Galifianakis who plays Alan.

Costing just 35 mill, this is one of those lower budget films featuring relative unknowns just waiting to tear one of the bigger boys down off their perch and it looks like it did that.

Films involving road trips and bachelor parties have been done to death yet this is a highly entertaining film and in places original. Now thats hard to achieve these days. It centres on four guys who head off to Vegas for a final boys' night out before one of them gets married. Phil is a married father of one who teaches English to high school kids, Stu is a tightly wound dentist thinking of proposing to his utter slut bitch of a girlfriend (sorry but she is), Doug is the groom-to-be and Alan is his social misfit future brother-in-law. What is meant to be one last night of binge-drinking, male bonding, strippers and a few card games, goes tits up when the men get so f*cked & twisted they can't remember a single thing the next morning. The thing is with this film is that quite a few of us can relate to the "I cant remember nothing about last night...WTF happened??". I am one of those people. I myself have been on holiday in my younger days, taken 2 suitcases and came home with nothing but a small carrier bag filled with my belongings. To this day i dont know WTF happened to my suitcases.

There are plot holes in the film for sure and things done in a stupid way which shouldnt have been done, Mike Tyson also is as bad an actor as it gets. One of the good highlights though is the hairy man-child Alan, he is comedy gold for sure and has a bright future.

If you want to see the un-rated cut of the film which runs for around 9 mins 30 seconds longer than the theatrical cut, take a look at versions 4, 9, 13 & 15 here. Make note these version numbers may change if they are taken down off the site. Just look at the running time when viewing or buffering up before you play. In all fairness the cuts dont make much difference to the film as much as you might think but lovers of the film will want to see the film in its entirety the way the director intended. There are a total of 11 scenes which are different. 2 of them being extended with alternate footage.

The Hangover is a good comedy which should be remembered by most that watch it. Overall 8.1/10

It's about a stag night gone very bad, in the city which Hollywood uses more often than any other as a locus for catastrophe, carnage, and memory loss. "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" confides the unusually phlegmatic father of the bride (Jeffrey Tambor). "Except for herpes."

The movie, from Road Trip and Old School director Todd Phillips, pretty much perfects the morning-after sequence, which comes near the start amid the dawning realisation that the groom (Justin Bartha) has been mislaid.

Groaning and in one case missing an incisor, his three companions scrape themselves off the floor. Their hotel suite in Caesar's Palace ("not the real one") looks like it's recently been vacated by Cossacks. There's a chicken wandering around, a miraculously unharmed baby in a cupboard, and a tiger in the bathroom. It belongs to Mike Tyson.

This film is without doubt the funniest film I have seen in my 28 years of existence. I have found most comedies over the last couple of years to be extremely overrated (especially Seth Rogen movies) and I did start to worry that I didn't have a sense of humour but this film proves that I was right and all the other comedies that have been made recently were wrong. The casting is absolutely spot on and I couldn't fault a single performance. Highly recommended and I believe for the first time in my life I shall be willing to endure another hangover! The ending was also very clever and left audiences in the theatre cheering and clapping at the final credits.

This experience has me wanting to be hungover, in Vegas, not remembering a thing! You have to admit sometimes the most interesting/invigorating thing you can do is freak out about what you did last night, and try to put the pieces together! I'd say that would make a great movie but no...they went beyond that and made the movie gut busting. I'd say I haven't laughed that hard for a movie in a long time. Bradley Cooper was great he was the cool guy in the group who had a lot of the ideas, the cracks about his life were awesome and I am sure something all guys can relate too (especially the family men). Its crazy how they had the regular circle of friends for the movie, the "smart" one (Ed Helmes' character...Andy from the Office) who did some really stupid stuff, marrying Heather Graham though was the smartest thing he has ever done, would be any man's dream come true. The "cool" one, Bradley Cooper's character mentioned earlier, and the "retarded" one, (Zach Galifianakis) he was so dumb because basically he was comic relief for a comic which just basically added to the laughs. I am pretty sure his character in a baby standing silent with those glasses on made me laugh.

I don't know what to say I can't think of anything bad to say about this movie, at some point I was put off but I can't remember when because they immediately recovered with an awesome laugh.

So that's what I am going to do I am going to say only positive things about it and just say that if you are feeling blue and in need of good medicine, this movie deals out the best of it and in mega quantities. So go see The Hangover for a good time!

Oh my God if there was ever a perfect comedy to watch, everyone and I mean EVERYONE this us it!

This movie is absolutely funny from beginning to end! I love the story line, the acting and actors, I love that it was different even though it began with a bit of a drag the movie was perfect!

If you have not seen this movie yet you absolutely must!

Now this is what I'm talking about. The Hangover is a funny movie all the way through. Its setup is funny. Every situation is funny. Most of the dialogged is funny almost line by line. At some point I actually find ourselves caring a little about what happened to the missing bridegroom and the fact that I almost care is funny too. this is a awesome movie and a must watch

This movie was awesome! It made me laugh so much - I love funny movies. This movie was so brilliant; the tiger and the chicken was a beautiful addition to the movie. The movie made complete sense and wasn't a total waste of time like some other movies without a plot. "The Hangover" is definitely a classic and is recommended by me on all levels! This movie does have inappropriate words, word choice, and scenes; I do not think children should be allowed to view this movie. I loved this movie - 5 stars!!

I decided to go to this movie with some classmates after our last test before summer vacation. The girls had some mixed feelings, they thought it was gonna be a black comedy with humour only men can relate to. They were wrong, since the movie begin both girls and guys where laughing 24/7. It's a fast and really entertaining movie! I went with a group of completely different kind of people, they all LOVED it.

Not only we had a laugh we where sucked into the movie as well, it kept us on the edge of our seat the entire time. The story line is incredible creative and builds up tension really good.

You will love it so go see it!!

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but it that really possible to happen all those things? I've been to Vegas twice and... oh my God! These people could really get into trouble. Great movie, definitely worth watching many times. These boys are just great and I wouldn't say any of them is a waste a time.

This has to be one of the funniest movies in years. The comedy was just genius. The story being about what they did the night before and back tracking there steps to figure it out. alot of people can relate to that. The actors were perfect for the parts they played. and to top it all of the ending was awesome. This movie went together perfectly from start to finish and should definitely be watched by all. 100% comedy

I Thought this movie was sooo damn funny! I went out and bought it so all my friends could see it! I keep thinking about the naked guy flying out of the trunk!!LOL that is just one of many parts in the movie. There are also cameos to that i was surprise to see mike tyson.It is one of those movies you can see over and over again.

I won't blame you if you're not particularly excited about the idea of watching another crass comedy involving a bachelor party gone wrong. Fair enough, it's not exactly the most original premise for a Hollywood film. Still, I'd urge you to take my word for it: The Hangover will have you in splits.

Three friends take their soon-to-be-married pal for the ultimate Vegas stag night, and after what could have only been a wild, wild night, they wake up the next morning in their hotel suite to find a tiger in the bathroom, a baby in the closet, and the groom nowhere to be found. Worse of all, neither of them can remember a thing.

Told in reverse, with our three leads piecing back the events of the previous night through whatever clues they can find, The Hangover is side-splittingly funny because it's sharply written, and because it avoids clichés for the most part by starting where most movies of this genre usually end.

The pace is fast and the jokes come at furious speed. You can only imagine the look on their faces when the valet brings them not the Mercedes they'd been driving but a police car they have no memory of stealing the previous night.

The Hangover works largely because the actors do wonders with their roles, and their chemistry is unbeatable. Bradley Cooper plays Phil, a married schoolteacher and the cocksure one of the three; Ed Helms stars as Stu, a nerdy dentist terrified of his bossy girlfriend, and the neurotic whiner in the group; while Zach Galifianakis steals the film as the groom's not-quite-there bearded brother-in-law-to-be, Alan. Their bickering and sparring and hilarious digs at each other is really the treasure of this film.

Justin Bartha plays the straight-arrow groom who must be found, and Heather Graham appears as the stripper who Ed Helms' character Stu discovers he married the previous night. All of these characters are like the catalysts thrown in to spark off our three leads.

Raucous and often lewd, this film pulls out all the stops in its mission to deliver never-ending laughs. Nothing is sacred, no joke is too offensive.

So if you're not embarrassed by breast-feeding gags and tigers being dry-humped, then don't stop to think – The Hangover is your best bet this weekend. Four out of five and two thumbs up. Go with your buddies, you'll laugh till you have tears in your eyes!

I read quite a few reviews on this before I watched, and they were all raving that its really funny. hm. its alright i guess. i mean for its genre its very unique and clever, but there are funnier films, and there are cleverer (not a real word i know) films. so maybe a 6.5 out of ten.

I saw this on the movies it made me cracked up so hard that people we're looking at me when i watched this on the movies its so funny!The storyline is great and genius.I watched it here on this site again,It still make me laugh!Oh my god!Its so funny!I'll give this movie a 50000/5!
