Solid visual effects & some very heavy fire power. Mark Wehlberg never disappoints & he is supported by some colourful cast (even Nelly Furtado got a scene). The script was reasonable enough & the sequel should be worth looking forward to. Overall, a decent movie.

Great plot,and with one of the best actors in the industry now (Mark Wahlberg)any film with him holding a gun must be good. 10/10

All those bullets and he didn't die? Daamn, what a drug! Never played the game, not a game person. But the movie was ok, and yes maybe a different actor instead of Mark Wahlberg.

Not what i was expecting. The game series had a thing going with the narrative voice and the atmosphere, the hardcore junkie environment. This is a dull interpretation of a great story. 6/10

Having never played the game, i had nothing to compare to the movie & i know there's a few people who didn't like Mark Wahlberg as Max Payne, but i quite like him, & although this wasn't the best film i've seen him in, i dont think it was too bad actually, a pretty good 1 time watch, & i'm assuming there's a sequel in the pipeline, if the final scene after the end credits is anything to go by, 8/10. :-)

i thought it was pretty good for the type of movie it is you dont watch a movie like this for a deep story you watch it for a few hours of shootouts and mark wahlberg looking hard as fuck

the reason why "MAX PAYNE" is so different from the original game is because HE'S NOT NOIR IN THIS FILM, notice that he never narrates like he does in the game, it was ok but it definitely could have been way better 2/5

I felt it was not a good movie at all, I thought the pacing was off which turned it into a boring movie for me, there's also not much excitement or action in the first have of the movie making that part even slower and some of the acting also isn't good. They also changed the story of the games, which also wasn't a good choice. Overall it wasn't a good movie 5/10

This movie based on a video game is really cool! Has a good story too, some nice fight scenes and Mark Wahlberg is awesome as always, he's probably one of the few actors who's cool without trying, say hi to your mother for me Ok lol weak 8/10

Not nearly as good as MAX PAYNE 3...but it was awesome. Mark Wahlberg makes a great Max Payne. Biggest problem was the very weak and poorly-written script.

I played the video games, and the movie has some scenes that are true to the game, however I feel that the story could have been alot better. There were alot of characters popping in and out which was kind of confusing the movie is ok I give it a 3.5 / 6
