meh, it was ok, abit over mellow dramatic, visuals were quite cool, story was confusing until the very, very end (which was not cool btw) and the film was way too long.

This movie was powerful! It had alot of subliminal messages in it and you had to pay close attention to what was going to understand everything that was going on. The animation in this film was absolutely amazing as well, 5/5 from me!

Wow this movie is awesome the story is really complex and emotional and i can agree that it is visually stunning of course this movie isnt for everyone i can see how it can be percieved as boring or just a bunch of in your face visualls but for me this movie was great!!

Im not going to cast a rating or anything because sadly I dropped this movie at around an hour and a half. Its never a good thing when you watch a movie and throughout half the movie youre asking yourself, WTH IS GOING ON?! Im ok with mystery but the way things happen in this movie makes it a complete mess. I know the answers were probably given at the end, but there wasnt even a single attempt at asking ANY questions at the halfway point of the movie despite all that was happening. If you watch it youll know what I mean, youll be asking Whats going on? and HOW? many MANY times. the art style is magnificent though, its probably the best steampunk setting Ive ever seen. the acting is also really good. probably worth a watch, but it isnt really to my personal liking.

I can see why some may call this over dramatic but....its epic. very epic. I am not familiar with the anime but i may have to acquaint myself now. I give it 12/13 slow motion screams.

I won't waste much of your time with a lengthy comment as you'll need plenty (2hr 20m) to get through this one. The previous 2 comments paint a pretty accurate picture of what goes on in the film, the start is what happens when you try to fool with mother nature, the middle is the futuristic Japanese version of Sky Captain, and the end explains (to a certain extent) what you've just seen. Driving music, visually captivating, and wrapped up with a nice message in the end. 7.5/10.

I would love to learn fluent Japanese cos, as good as the subtitles were, I'm sure I would have got more in the original language. That said , this was a superb film.

like to other comments its visually awesome. The only thing i didn't like was the first 45 min is really slow. It does pick up the speed and its worth the wait great story, anime fans will love this movie

wow, this was a breathtaking movie. The scenes and decors were beautiful and very futuristic yet so amazing. Each character is beautifully portrayed and I was really happy to have watched this movie. It's a great movie with a deep message, very well acted and very well plotted. I totally recommend it to people who like meaning in their movies.
