Not my kind of movie .. for me it was pretty boring but my parents loved it :D so for people who love musicals I guesse its worth to watch it ;)

Before watching it I thought I would like it... but the musical is GREAT!!! And Meryl Streep is as wonderful as always ^^

Pretty good movie. Funny at some parts. A little boring at parts to though. The singing wasn't really that good, other than Amanda Seyfried.

Embarrassed how much I enjoyed this. Plot is silly - who cares? None of the actors can really sing , except Amanda Seyfried a bit. (When you relisten to real ABBA, makes you realise not only how good the songs are, but also what GREAT voices Agnieta and Frida had). Still, I'm REALLY glad they used the real voices and didn't overdub. It makes me so sad when I watch 'My Fair Lady':they let Audrey record the songs, knowing I think that they weren't going to use them in the final cut. I'm sure she wasn't the greatest singer, but who cares? .. I just wish it was HER singing.

My 12 year old daughter got me to watch this, never really fancied it before, but well, what can i say? its fabulous, its funny and very clever how they brought all the songs together to make a perfect story, i cried at least twice at the songs sang by meryl streep, she is so emotional and not too bad a singer either. I think i recall the cast got a bit of a grilling by the film critics when it first came out. Well i loved it and would again and again. 5/5 Bravo

the things I can remember doing to ABBA music - one of the many reasons this film is so great. The music is phenominal, the acting is superb, the scenery, oh the Greek scenery - so beautiful, roll it all together and you have this +10/10 musical comedy movie. You can watch it over and over and never get bored because the music makes you smile. If you don't walk away from this film feeling your best - well, then, my heart goes out to you....because this is a guaranteed high.

I have to admit I went and found a couple ABBA ringtones after watching this the first time, but a couple infectious pop tunes are really all I got out of this. Too much, too long, with too little to really care much about. I was disappointed.

i really enjoyed this movie. the music, the acting. it was pretty good. i just love musicals even if they do shorten the songs down which sometimes makes me a bit sad.

I really didn't enjoy this film at all. I thought the story was ridiculous, a girl wants her dad to walk her down the aisle, so she contacts her mother's ex lovers because her mom had no clue who her real father was. That make work for the Maury Show, but it doesn't work for a good musical. The songs don't make for a good plot advancing story at all. Sure, they are some pretty catchy classic songs, but the story basically goes to a stand still as they sing them. In regular musicals, they add to the plot and without them there would be no story. This is the opposite. I can't understand why anybody would enjoy this. My husband made me watch this because he is an ABBA fan, and he fell asleep. I was so angry I sat through this for nothing. For a good musical-- Try Chicago, Hairspray, Little Shop of Horrors, Sweeney Todd,-- even Moulin Rouge figured they had to change pop songs a little to get them to progress the story. And that was visually stunning. Mama Mia brings nothing to the table, except for ABBA songs you can listen to on youtube whenever you want.

Damn you, ABBA and your catchy ass tunes! I just can't help loving this movie. I actually saw Mamma Mia on Broadway a few years ago and I was hooked. If you like musicals, 'take a chance' on this movie! Meryl Streep singing?! You can't go wrong. Feel good flick!

Nice how they showed Abba on here. I knew them before but good thing its now put into viewers these days, most ppl today never grasp on old music because they just avoid it like if its watching hannah montana unfortunately. This was a good movie, though it ruined some of the Abba songs in my opinion but at least it was shown. the singing was.... ok. (though if ur gonna see whats better, might as well pick Abba.) This movie was horrible and good in some ways.
