What a fantastic movie! A great story, told in a beautiful way. It's a heartfelt, bitter, sad, full of memories and emotions look at the past. It will keep you at the edge of your seat the whole time. All actors are amazing here, the best perfomances coming in my opinion from Channing Tatum-he is fantastic here, probably his best perfomance so far- and RDJ. A high quality movie, don't miss it, 10/10

A stirring drama that leaves the viewer with a realistic portray of teenage life in a city's neighborhood. Acting was outstanding and it made one feel like a unseen witness to each scene. The film should be seen by those who have no idea of ethnic tension and the development of prejudice and discrimination in our urban areas.

INteresting movie, with good performances, but has something weird in its mood and air! Tatum, LaBeouf did a great job. I really appreciate it but I feel there are some loose ends in it... 7/10

I found this movie to be both excellent and depressing. If you are looking for a film with even a touch of positive energy, then you will surely hate this. At the best of times this film is just really sad, especially the father/son relationship between Shia and Chazz which has left me with a lump in my throat. I'm off for some quiet reflection...9/10

well...what can I say about this movie...especially since all of the good reviews??....I think the actors did fine but Im really sorry I must have missed the beauty of the story through all the depressing parts...I just wished he could have wrote about the good times as well...I guess I can assume that he didnt have any, and I do feel sorry for him, because he still seems messed up....It must be tough not to have had any happy memories of your youth to look forward to when you get old....I still give it a 5/10...

What kind of writer reveals his troubled childhood, then directs a semi-autobiographical film about it, using a character with his own name?

was actually surprised. this movie kept me watching. it has a past/present plot to it. think i would have enjoyed it more if it would have left out the present, although rosario made it a lil worth it. would watch again.
