most comments here say it is a strange movie, i agree on some contents, but it's more of a slow drama, pretty interesting idea for a movie, cuz that was the only thing which made this movie stand out, otherwise it would have been an average drama. It wasn't bad but it wasn't special either, i'd give it 5.5/10. i wouldn't recommend it though to someone, you can live without watching this. Good acting at least. the soundtrack gave the movie a curious touch to it

nicole kidman is great as usual but i didn't like the movie that much! i hate that stupid kid! liar! 3/10

Well...I think it's fair to say that the opinion of whether or not this was a good film is based upon the viewer. In my opinion...I thought the film was very good and I enjoyed watching it. Was there times when I thought it was weird....YES! But when you think about it the whole concept of reincarnation is a weird. So that's to be expected of the film. A lot of people here have referred to the film as being sick and resembling pornography and pedophiles and I think that anyone who thought this are closed minded and sophomoric. The film had nothing to do with sex or any sick pedophile fantasies. It's solemnly about a widow mourning the loss of her late husband so much to the point that when this kid walks into her life saying he's her decease husband she jumps at the chance. If you've ever lost someone close to your heart sometimes you will deny all logic just feel some type of comfort and relief. This movie is illuminating that. It was a great movie.I give it a 5/5

It was an alright movie especially if you have your own theories on spirits and possession. I believe the movie wants you to believe that the boy truly could of been Shawn. Love is that strong...

NO, NO, NO This is not soft porn nor was it written by a pedophile. How could anyone destroy the reputation of a movie with such false comments. If you would have watched the whole movie you would have realized it was not such a thing as your comments suggest. Now it may not be everyones choice for a movie, but there was not all this nudity, kissing and sexual tension and perversion as you make it out to be. I really thought it was a beautiful movie. This lady loved her dead husband she wanted to so much believe in this kid. Guilt may have been consuming her before she took the next step with this man. The kisses were so not sexual, the bathtub scene was a shock to her also in case you didnt watch the whole thing. I found it to be a pretty good watch for a love story and I usually dont get into them to much. 3.5/5 :) :) :) ITS FINE TO BE A HATER OF A MOVIE, BUT TO SAY UNTRUE THINGS ABOUT IT REALLY IS UNNECESSARY.

Such a beautiful move! I'd always wondered what would have happened to Anna.. Would she live her life swallowing her strong emotions on what had happened? Or would she end up in a physic ward due to it.. And would Joseph be by her side visiting her every day? Or would he have moved on with his life? Great watching it again.

I really liked this movie. There are some really interesting posts in the imdb forum for this specific film you should check out if this movie makes you wonder. It is a somewhat strange movie and can be a little shocking at times, but the little boy and Nicole Kidman do a really good job. Overall, I give it a 8 out of 10.

I't was ok but i didn't really like it that much its a very amotional film

This was definitely too slow. It is one of those movies that there is a lot of dramatic music that makes you anticipate that some kind of climax is about to happen, but it never does. Interesting concept for a movie, but just not interesting enough to keep one's attention for 100 minutes. On a ten star scale, I give this a 5.
