Only this "sequel" is on par with the original in regards to what it brings to the table. While the first was ingenious for two reasons - in its story of a serial killer stalking you in your nightmare and in its ability to keep you guessing on what is real this one keeps you guessing on three levels - what is real and what is dream, references to the original series (both original and series as a whole) as well as the ingeniuity of having the original actors come back as there hollywood personas to resurect Freddy. 4/5

This movie was okay. The beggining was kinda creepy but not all that scary. What I didn't like about it was the laack of freddy attackness throughout the begginin and middle. The freddy face wasn't as scary as in the first movie. I give it 2 stars because other freddy movies have been alot beetter.

As a big time Freddy fan I thought the movie did ok but not one of the best Elm street movies. I thought Wes Craven's idea was original but it just didn't measure up to the other movies. Freddy didn't even really do his thing till half way through the movie and that's the key, not enough Freddy. Took to long to see him. Good try by Wes Craven though. On the plus side, Heather Langenkamp was looking pretty hot all grown up n shit hahaha. 6/10

i never really liked this one but the beginning was awesome where it creeps you out. 7/10

A cracking yarn and a great end to the Nightmare on Elm Street series where the actors are forced into playing their roles one last time in order that Heather/Nancy can save her son and stop Freddy from crossing over into our world,8/10.
