Totally forgot this was the movie The Gorillaz sampled. Sent shivers up my spine. That whole opening scene, the music, the desolation, the hopelessness. Heeeelo.. Is there anyone there? Hellooooooo....

I don't need to watch it on this site to know I love watching a Romero Zombie movie. Day of the Dead might not have been the best but if I remember correctly in the interview on the DvD even Romero him self said the funds for the movie was not a lot and he himself was not able to do it as he had wanted. So if a remake does happen which I am sure sooner or later it will. I do hope it is done by him, I am not a big fan of remakes. Dont get me wrong I did enjoy watching the Dawn of the Dead movie but that is not Dawn of the Dead, yes they go to a mall but to much of the old has been done away with. Even the remake of Night of the Living Dead had more of the Older (classic) version in it then Dawn. :) All in all, Romero fan all the way. Look forward to seeing if a Part 2 of Land comes out and hope it is done by him. Now I think I will go find a link that works here at work and watch some dead people :)

Im not going to be liked for this but next to diary of the dead this is one of my least favorite "..Of the Dead" films, i just couldn't get into it. In my opinion it lacked the raw panic of most zombie films, and seemed to focus more on the human power struggle in a post zombie Apocalypse world. a great film with a good story granted, it just wasn't my kind of Zombie movie.. solid 4/5 and definitely worth a watch but i can understand why this one wasn't remade...

classic zombie film from the american originator, george a. romero. avoid the newer film of the same name, it is NOT a remake or a reboot. THIS is where its at folks! good ole fashioned zombie ownage

In my opinion this is the greatest DEAD movie of all. I really believed they were living in that mine. There is a real sense that all hope is lost in this movie. My buddy and i always got a kick out of the Rhodes character. We would drink every time he would draws his gun on someone. Classic 10/10

This movie remains my number one zombie horror to date. Great special effects and a creepy setting make this a classic. When holed up in a military bunker and isolation taking its toll, zombies aren't the only things you have to worry about.
