Honestly I thought this movie was entertaining. Steve Carell was practically the same character that he was in the 40 Year Old Virgin but he plays that role well. Zach Galifanakis was hilarious as Therman and the Blind Man at the dinner made the movie. Jeff DunHam was a good touch to the movie. Overall it was very predictable with the romance involved with Tim and Julie but nonetheless a movie that will keep you entertained.

Inspirational and "Problems, then solved" type of a movie. Overall a good impact. Have a nice way of expressing emotions. Using rat toys. Those were lovely stuffs. The movie started well. It speed-ed up too. But it losses a bit of grip for a while before end. But again rolls well. A good entertainment off course. The dinner presentation was well acted and directed. Must watch once. ok seriously not a horrible or bad movie but its not a good one either. some few funny and laughable moments but all in all its a painful comedy, still it had something which kept me watching it. maybe Steve Carrel's character and his performance. Fail screen writing. Some of the dialogue was really awkward and some of the jokes were just not funny. Parts of the movie are laugh out loud hilarious thanks to impressive performances, writing and directing but other parts are appalling thanks to performances, writing and directing. The concept itself is brilliant, which I'm guessing the original film is as well, but this remake is way too over the top and unbelievable as well as just ugly and mean spirited. It pretends to be in good will and have a small heart at times but really it's an insult to creative outcasts and individuals everywhere. The 'loveable losers' presented in this movie are shown as annoying and idiotic pests on normal citizens who we should love because they mean well. It's really patronizing and insulting to anyone who dares to step outside of the norm, although it briefly pretends to be otherwise. The movie is not realistic in any way and does make several jokes at the expense of others, just like the majority of it's characters. Movies like 'THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN', 'PLANES, TRAINS & AUTOMOBILES' and the more recent 'SHE'S OUT OF MY LEAGUE' represent a more heartfelt and sincere example of similar subject matter. The movie is really funny at times but it really leaves a bad taste in your mouth after-wards. Some people, like many of the characters and film makers of this movie, think it makes them look clever and smart to make fun of others but that's really easy and anyone can do it. Some of us just choose not to. felt flat most of the time.

An account executive (Rudd) discovers the only way for him to get a promotion at his company is to find his own "special person" (Carell) and invite him to a company dinner. If you go off just the main 2 stars alone this is a must rent. This is one of those movies that come out where the script alone has a chance of being really funny, but it all comes down to casting. In this case the casting of every part, even the little ones, is what pushes this movie over the top into one of the funniest movies that has been released in a while. It's hard to imagine what the movie would have been like with out Rudd and Carell but I'm guessing not as good. This part seems written for Carell, he plays it perfectly and it is his funniest role since Brick in "Anchorman". The one downfall of the movie is that it is entirely predictable (most comedies are), but it is still a fun ride till the end. It seems like every comedy since the "Hangover" promotes itself as "The funniest movie since the Hangover", this one can actually live up to that standard. A definite must watch and I dare you not to laugh. I give it a B+
