this movie has everything...pre-arab spring...set in ciaro sometime in the earlier part of this decade...old men hunting virgins, crazy religious right morons pushing their beliefs down everyone's throat, young people who can't find a damn job, an older gay man who cruises straight street trade (we all know how that always ends), older frustrated women that never get laid, straight zealot boys and one got raped by straight men (go figure), political and law enforcement corruption, cool architecture, has beens, wanna bees, edith piaf, egyptians speaking french, finding real love in the golden years and in the end...they are as fucked up as we are...yeah, right...did i say ciaro...hell this could be anywhere in america. the translation is a little sloppy so pay attention and figure it out, the story line gets a little long in the tooth but the over all impression of this film is this side of wonderful. it will transport you to a world you didn't know and give you insight to a culture that is multidimensional, rich and forever searching for happiness. would i recommend this movie...hell yes...
