If one were feeling charitable, one could say Tangled is a return to form for Disney animation. As we're at the starting line for the holiday season I'm feeling rather charitable, so I'll opine that Tangled is a return to form for Disney animation. It's not to the level of modern classics like Alladin (1992) or The Little Mermaid (1989) and of course it shouldn't be compared to classic classics such as Dumbo (1941) and Lady and the Tramp (1955), but for 2010? It's certainly in the top three, just short of the groundbreaking work Pixar and Dreamworks are producing. BY LAREMY.

All characters had a definite role in the movie and the parts the played where, I believe, important. My favorite so far has been the little green thing that changes color. God knows what its name is, I can't recall. But I do know that he for the most part made me laugh like a lunatic. What an adorable animal lol and the girl's hair really is gorgeous, even till the end (:

One of the very best animated movie of this year and of the best out lately. i had an amazing fun time watching this Disney flick. It has that Instant classic feel that other Disney Movies has, since it has a PRINCES and its Musical. Talking about voices, they have been done decently. all of it seems new as i have not seen any movie on Rapunzel. songs in this movie are fantastic, sung in classical opera kind of way, really reminds me of there old movies. While it is not one of the very best movies Disney has but still a near perfect classic.

it is visually stunning, brilliantly done amazing movie. Absolute fun to watch. will appeal to every age. Story is amazing, fill with adventure, romance, innocence, coming of age thing, fun etc. its is very funny too, many laughing moments. screenplay is good. never gets down or anything. The other characters are really fun and good. Must watch.

I have to admit I wasn't impressed by the trailers & commercials for this movie, which made it look like another "Shrek" wannabe, full of slapstick and snarky characters. However, I liked what I saw of Rapunzel and animals and heard good things about it from those in the know, so I gave it a shot. I'm very glad I did.

It takes us back to the time when Disney was at their best. I felt like I did the first time I watched the classics like "Aladdin", "Beauty and the Beast", and "The Little Mermaid". And that's a good thing. It may sound like too much praise, but in this era of animated movies more interested in pop culture references and hyperactive/obnoxious characters than good stories and memorable characters, we could really use more cartoon movies like the ones of old.

Even the opening narration reminded me of old-school Disney in how it told us the back story in its older movies. And I like how we get a different take on the story of Rapunzel, changing her from a farmer's daughter who ended up in the hands of a witch to a princess kidnapped to keep a woman (I wouldn't really call her a witch) young, and instead of a prince we get a thief forced to take her from that tower.

The characters are the best we've gotten from a non-Pixar Disney movie it a while. Rapunzel makes a good heroine. With big green eyes and 70 feet of golden hair, she's more engaging than Snow White and "Sleeping Beauty"'s Arora, as wide-eyed and venturesome as Ariel, and as clever as Mulan. And she's wonderfully versatile with that hair, like Indiana Jones with a built in whip, or Wonder Woman's lasso as a part of her body. Mother Gothel, like Disney's very best villains, is unassuming while manipulative, cunning and, above all else, cruel and self-serving. We get really good sidekicks in the animals. They don't talk (which I'm glad of), but communicate greatly via facial expressions, gestures, and body language. Pascal the chameleon has a good sense of comic timing and his color changing adds to his communication. Meanwhile, Maximus the horse steals every scene he's in, acting more like a dog than a horse, putting up a better fight than the castle guards, and even having some interesting depth. The one character I didn't like was Flynn. Having seen a lot of him in the trailers, I thought he'd be a weak link. And I was right. Not only is his storyline all too familiar, but I've seen his kind in several Dreamworks movies (starts out selfish and snide, then gets better over time). He's basically a pretty Shrek.

This is the first Disney animated movie since "Mulan" to have song & dance numbers, and most of them are pretty good, bringing back memories of "The Litte Mermaid" and "Aladdin", which isn't surprising with Alan Menken in charge of music. The best one is the reprise of "Mother Knows Best" (once again, the Villain gets the best song!). And I should warn you about the weakest, "I've Got a Dream", which is supposed to emulate ensemble numbers of cartoons movies past, but is just too over the top and silly for its own good.

I'll admit its not groundbreaking like Disney Classics of old. But after a decade of many failures, including a few that were close but still missed the mark, this is the kind of movie that made Disney all those years ago with great animation, colorful characters (literally in Pascal's case), and a story that nicely mixes romance, comedy, adventure and heart. This is Disney at its best. And we need more like it.

this movie was so cute and sweet I am in my 30's and even I enjoyed this its the kind of movie that puts you in touch with your inner child I think everyone no matter what your age should watch this movie .... so what are ya waiting for go watch it already ..... SMILES

But oh, what a TANGLED web we weave...lol.... A fun filled action packed new animated film by Disney. It tells the story of the kidnapping of a young princess with magical hair. The woman who kidnaps the young princess for selfish reasons, puts her up in castle for protection while deceiving the princess into thinking that she is her real child. Good story, not the greatest music and lyrics, (all Disney songs are starting to sound the same) wonderful characters and brilliant animation. I really enjoyed this new addition to the history of the Disney empire. Thumbs up.

Very enjoyable, frequently funny, lovely songs and superbly animated.This film is a pleasingly old-fashioned, utterly charming Disney adventure that will appeal to adults and children alike.
If you like the classic Disney films you will love this.
A must watch film for all. I would rate this film 10/10.

A swashbuckling retelling of the classic fairy tale Rapunzel, it features stunning animation, a heartfelt story .The film provides the audience with the usual Disney laughs, along with toned-down humor, and comedic timing and Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi do a commendable job lending just the right amount of emotion to their respective animated characters.superb movie for children's.i recommended it.

I liked the twist on the original story. But it was just a little too much singing for my taste. All in all, it was a good story that I think children and adults would like. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a solid 7. A nice movie for the whole family to watch.

At first I thought this would just be a decent movie, judging by the trailers. Nothing special, just a good 1 hour, 30 minute session. Boy, am I glad I was wrong. The characters in this movie were all comical and memorable, Zachary Levi and Mandy Moore did an excellent job voicing their characters, and their chemistry was fantastic. The other characters were also not to be forgotten. The humor was excellent, the plot was top-notch, the musical pieces were more than exceptional, and best of all, the animation was wonderful. This movie is near perfect, and one of the best movies I've seen in a while. 5/5

I really loved this movie. It was child friendly and some parts were really funny and some parts were sad. I cried at the sad parts and laughed at the funny parts it was a really genuinely nice film with AMAZING quality! In my opinion I would give this film a 5 star rating! Thank you for uploading this!

i love it!!~! just as i was expecting!! i have watched this movie's trailer for like a hundred times.. im so looking forward to this when it hit the theaters.. but due to some inevitable circumstances i havent watched it until now.. and i have to say that it is very awesome!!~! the characters are very unique.. this is what i love about the new disney films.. the characters are more relatable and funny even!! and its just.. beautiful.. made me smile all the way. and it just gives this happy, warm feeling after youve watched it 10/10!!~!

A group of thieves led by Flynn Rider steal the tiara of the lost princess from the castle. During the chase of the thieves, Maximus the castle horse is separated from it's captain, and continues to track down Flynn on it's own. Flynn abandons his companions and stumbles upon Rapunzel's tower to avoid Maximus.
Luckily, Mother Gothel was away. Rapunzel makes a deal with Flynn: a journey to the "lights" during her birthday, which is something she has always wanted to discover, and has always been her dream. During the journey, Rapunzel forbid Maximus from capturing Eugene (Flynn Rider), and force them to be friends for 24 hours.The three arrive at the kingdom and that night Eugene takes Rapunzel to see the lanterns. There, Rapunzel gives Eugene back the tiara. Troubles sprang up when Eugene spies the stabbington brothers.
But nothing could stop Love and the truth. As you watch on, Rapunzel discovers her real identity and returns back to her biological parents - the King and Queen. Years later, Eugene and Rapunzel are married.......

This movie is fantastic! Funny, healthy, interesting and lots of hair. 10/10. WORTH WATCHING!

it was a good movie.would definately recommend to kids as myself, aged 24 and my son, aged 3 definately enjoyed it.some hilarious scenes involving the horse maximus, needs to be watched.i would watch again just for the funny scenes. also its a musical film which gives it enjoyable theme.

Flynn Rider: Did I ever tell you I've got a thing for brunettes? "Get tangled up"When I first heard about Tangled; I didn't think it would be for me. But after hearing that it was good from a lot of people who at one time didn't think they would like it; I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. It's a cute and funny little movie. It may have a little too much singing for my taste, but that's okay. The film has beautiful animation and great storytelling. It's surprisingly fun and ends up being an easy to like watch. Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi and Donna Murphy were all very good with their characters. Tangled is an entertaining children's movie and I can say I was never bored once during the whole movie. Which I can't say about too many movies made for kids. This one is in a very select list of movies for kids that I could see myself watching again in the future.
And I have to say Maximus "lmao" was hilarious.
