It is difficult to explain to those who did not live through it how much our parents & churches & government hated rock & roll and feared it as the music of the devil. This film depicts that paranoia fairly well & I recommend it for that reason. That and the music. 4 / 5

i really liked this movie. i got interested in watching it bc they did a piece about it on NPR (thank you Fresh Air). the US title is Pirate Radio. it's funny and the characters are great. Bill Nighy is great in this role! if you get a chance check out the back story. very interesting. 4/5. fun romp.

Wickedly fun movie about the freedom of the airwaves. Fantastic soundtrack, great editing and perfect 60's era detail. One that is worth watching and leaves the viewer thinking 'I'd watch it again'.

it was a good movie gotta love the music. pretty funny too. the only thing that didn't sit right was that the main character Carl was a tool.He gets with that marianne chick after what she did on there date but thats my only gripe kinda brought the movie down for me 3/5

3/5 ....it was an okay movie. ....some movies are supposed to be overdramatized.... at least there is plenty of good humor in this.

Brilliant!! As someone who listened to Radio Caroline in the mid-sixties, I can say this movie ROCKED! For anyone interested in the early British Rock era this movie is an absolute must! Wonderfully cast, directed, and an amazing sound track that just never stopped, this film was a nostalgic trip down memory lane for me. As one who never cries at movie, I had a lump in my throat and tears to see the support shown to the DJs and the station at the end. I wish this movie had never ended! A solid 5/5 and faved of course!!

Great comedy and an interesting commentary full of insight on a period that's already draped in nostalgia. Very well done, the cloths, the attitudes the "spirit". Probably one of the best period films out there...
