Watch Army of Darkness: In this sequel to the Evil Dead films, a discount-store employee ("Name's Ash. Housewares.") is time-warped to a medieval castle beset by monstrous forces. Initially mistaken for an enemy, he is soon revealed as the prophecised savior who can quest for the Necronomicon, a book which can dispel the evil. Unfortunately, he screws up the magic words while collecting the tome, and releases an army of skeletons, led by his own Deadite counterpart. What follows is a thrilling, yet tongue-in-cheek battle between Ash's 20th Century tactics and the minions of darkness. |

Great movie a must watch, proves that a movie with NO cgi can still to this day be awesome and have people wondering who they did that so well. Evil dead 2 should be watched first! 9.5/10

Great movie to watch on a Saturday night, comedy, adventure and horror all in one, Sam Raimi needs to get back to making stuff like this, fuck Spiderman. Also, Groovy.

As a newly converted Bruce Campbell, I have to say this was simply excellent: from the corny gags to the animated skellies running around this was enjoyable from start to finish. All hail Bruce 9/10

Im a Bruce fan so my judgement might tend to be biast but whatever. The movie itself is great the fx makeup story continuation and brutal comedy they use makes this one of the better campbell movies. 8/10. Hail to the King baby!

Classic film. It's one of those untouchables, like the original Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street. Even if you don't like them, you have to at the very least respect them.

Ummm... No. This movie was just waaaaay too damn corny. :/ I enjoyed the first one the most because it was funny, but it also wasn't so OBVIOUS, like they didn't even have to try this hard to be funny... and wooow, this movie really took a mega turn with the story line. Like, seriously? This went from a cabin Horror story to some time travel Fantasy Adventure?? Some parts were just plain stupid and cartoon-y (it really felt like I was watching a kids movie) to me. And that ending? Terrible. Maybe I need to watch this while I'm high. I don't know, but sorry, I pass. I'd only recommend to watch if you want to finish out the series.

great stuff here! now that's how you do camp. go check out evil dead 2 if this is your type o stuff. don't bother with one, it feels like the retarded first brother of two (2 feels like they just remade 1 better, i think), but watch it if you want to be a loyalist. 8/10.

5/5.Classic Horror,sci/fi,fantasy parody.A perfect sequel to the first 2 films.Bruce Campbell will forever be a legend for His 3 evil dead films.Be aware that the theaters and censors butchered this film when it came out.Find the army of darkness directors cut.Its longer at 97 minutes, funnier, and with a far superior ending that left open for a fourth sequel that alas was never made.It contains a longer windmill scene with the little ashes and a more epic battle sequence at the end.In fact if you havent seen the hour and 37 minute uncut version-You haven't seen the true Army of Darkness.17 minutes were cut out including the alternate ending and it was put out on DVD as Bruce Campbell vs Army of Darkness:The Directors Cut(Official Bootleg Edition)If you enjoy these movies seek out Waxwork,Waxwork II lost in time, and Sundown:the vampire in retreat. The last 2 films star Bruce Campbell as well.

A classic! This came out of left field at the time. Changed the tempo of the Evil Dead trilogy and is one of those fun and wacky movies that you'll keep returning to. Included many original and fun ideas. A solid 8/10 from me

This movie is awesome, tops my all time favourites list with spaceballs for making me laugh. Bruce is a great actor in this, and a great jerk as well. Looking for a laugh ? this movie is def recommended for B-movie lovers and comedy lovers alike. 10/10 directly follows evil dead 2 so you may want to watch that first.
