I am sure the book was better. This may appeal to a diehard Depp fan. A long time watch to view once and move onto the next forgettable movie of the week. Enjoy your popcorn.....

good movie based upon a great hunter s thompson novel. FEAR AND LOATHING is still the best movie based upon his literature.

The great liberal heroes of the media...where would we be without them crushing Capitalism in every juncture? Thank God for you Hunter Thompson and Johnny Depp!...well not God cause you don't believe in God but then Lenin and Stalin I suppose we should be thanking.

If your fan of HST's work you'll enjoy this movie. It was good, but didn't capture everything in the book and lost some of the gritty and chaotic feel of the island, the newspaper, and the main character's journey. If you're not fan of the good doctor, and are expecting a typical Johnny Depp movie, keep moving, this isn't for you.

i didnt expect the hollywood blockbuster, just an interesting story with good acting.. but it was a dissappointment. to be honest.. all the best bits you can see in the trailer,

This movie came from an unpublished story of hunter S. thompson's. Johnny depp helped him to get it published. If you are a fan of Hunter you will enjoy this movie. I think people started watching this movie expecting it to be a hollywood blockbuster. It is not that kind of movie. I can not promise that everyone will love it but I enjoyed it very much so please give it a try.

Johnny Depp is not overrated and almost any movie he does is just pure gold. He is by far one of the best actors here and today. This movies was a bit hard to follow, but the acting was suburb. I'll give it a 4/5

I really tried to like this movie but the story and the characters are developing so slowly that it lost me 50 mins through. Guess a glass of rum might help to finish the whole piece;)

I hate when people say, it wasnt as good as the book... of course not. when you read you have to use more of your own imagination, so there for you think about everything in the way you would like it most. Movies give you the movies' cast and crews opinions and what they took from the book they base shit on. sorry had to vent lol...

man is it just me or have all putlocker links been incredibly slow to load, its like they used to be pretty fast but now it takes forever to load a movie.

Not terrible. Not great. Fear & Loathing this is not, and neither is the book it's based on. Coming into it, one must remember not to make that comparison and take the film in on its own merits. Rest in peace, Hunter.
