This movie is why I do not like chainsaws! Watched this when I was really young and it terrified me. I never did forget the part where he is out in the middle of the road swinging the chainsaw around. This may be an older movie but to me it will always be one scary creepy classic horror movie 5/5

I love this slasher. Brilliantly directed. I suspect that directors such as Rob zombie, pulled inspiration from the directing style of this movie

A classic must see Horror! even though it was a lot scarier 30 years ago, still a must see in the same category as "The Evil Dead" and countless others that I can't even begin to name!

Haven't seen this since the 70's when me and few mates had to bunk (sneak) in the pictures as we were too young to be admitted. I did notice at the time that the cinema were giving out bags in case anyone were sick. Definitely a 'bloody' horror for those who like their horror 'bloody' Not bad!

For me this was a fairly slow burner that builds nicely into what is and will always be one of the greatest horror movies, It gained momentum and didn't let up as a good horror movie should. TCSM had a more psychological edge rather than anything and that alone made the violence all the more relevant and twisted. If you like twisted movies, you'll love this!

Un chef d’œuvre, incontestablement. Tobe Hooper, dans une atmosphère effroyable, nous plonge dans l'horreur, une bonne dose d'humour et une totale subversion. Très belles photos.

I have the special edition of this with the case made from leather pretty cool, Anyhow if you have the same edition you should go on it and go to special features there you find a 90 minute documentry that has some good sh*t on it, Like the hammer scene the actor who plays leatherface accidentally hit the other man with the hammer for real and of course to low budget for proper props, leatherface's actor was upset for hours that he hit him and in pt 2 they called the actor up who played leatherface and offered him $250 a week to play leatherface, and that was worst pay than the other one, But he then said call me back and offer me how much you think im worth. They then called him back and offered him $100 a week. Thats why he wernt in pt 2 . You cant beat a classic the most successful B-Movie to this day. 5/5

I love this movie. Really was good. I think the beginning was slow and it took too long to get to the scary parts though. The acting was good, maybe a bit overdone on the screaming though. Very sick movie. Anyone who likes horror movies would definatley enjoy this! 4/5.

Arguably the greatest horror movie ever made. for a budget of 80K$ if one can create a movie like this then it is pure brilliance. Unfortunately Hooper couldn't repeat his excellence again.
