Watch Vanishing Point: Kowalski works for a car delivery service. He takes delivery of a 1970 Dodge Challenger to take from Colorado to San Francisco, California. Shortly after pickup, he takes a bet to get the car there in less than 15 hours. After a few run-ins with motorcycle cops and highway patrol they start a chase to bring him into custody. Along the way, Kowalski is guided by Supersoul - a blind DJ with a police radio scanner. Throw in lots of chase scenes, gay hitchhikers, a naked woman riding a motorbike, lots of Mopar and you've got a great cult hit from the early 70's. |

wow, goes to the top of my worst movies ever made list. Brilliant car chase scenes that keep you watching like a hypnotic tv commercial, for 90 minutes with nothing more to offer but token characters implying token stories, and the stupidest ending ever thought up. 0/10

Vanishing Point would continue the trend in many lower budget releases in the late 1960s and early 1970s in showcasing counterculture philosophy mixed with existential twists that make a simple story feel like something deeper in message. Good movie if you grew up in that era or just want to see a classic challenger tear up the road.

their isn't much of a story, it kinda starts out liek it's gunno be a great smokie and the bandit type film, but then they have tons of scenes that are pointless and that radio guy says he is a hero for doing nothing, then the ending just ruins it.

The sound of the "426 challenger" + the music score makes this an excellent "open road" 70s film. 4/5
