One of my all time favs from Peter Jackson before he went Hollywood. If you liked this one, definitely check out Dead Alive, to me, it ranks higher than this one.

One of the funniest movies of all time. That said, it definitely helps if you're drunk/wasted/both and you're watching it with friends who have a sense of humour (aka. don't bother if you're one of those Star Trek arseholes who argues over the technical specs of warp drives while the movie is still running). This was Peter Jackson's first production (before Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Hobbit, King Kong, Tin Tin) and it was made with friends and family over the course of 4 years of weekends and holidays on a shoe-string budget. This movie is worth watching just for some of the classic one-liners ... and the chance to see a sheep being blown-up with a rocket-launcher, roflmao! Curiously, this movie has suffered extensively at the hands of censors around the world due to its 'gore'. Such censorship is painfully absurd given that the blatantly fake nature of special effects make the gore seem more comic than gross (having said that, I've seen many girls turn their eyes away from the screen during the drinking-vomit scene, lol). 9/10 for those who like the genre ... whatever genre this cult classic falls into, lol.

i haven't seen low budget like this since i looked in my bank account. but it was fun stuff. oh, just give it a watch if you can stomach some on purpose bad acting, bad production, bad effects and silly humor. i couldn't stop watching. had it's moments.
