FUNNY SHiT - GOOD MOViE

Watched this movie over and over at my parents video store when i was young. still watch it every now and then and love the hell out of it. cult status!

Just had me a John Carpenter double bill and began with They Live. It's unbelievable how much the message in this film only ever grows in relevance and it still looks and feels as good as it did when I first watched it 15 years ago. What a movie. 9/10

I think this has to be my fav film of all time, Just an epic plot! This film had the kind of vision director's can only dream of, John carpenter nailed this one beautifully and made it so more scary with it's relation to the way we live today. Wake up, Resist, Change youre life and change the world! 10/10

I loved this movie when I was a kid. I loved when south park did a scene by scene copy of the fight in there episode "cripple fight." If you haven't seen this flick it's worth a watch. :)

An all time favorite for me, i love the 10 minute fight scene in the alley. The glasses rule and the aliens are crazy mofo's. Carpenter can do no wrong!!!!

Jon Carpenter made a 2 picture movie deal for this film and Prince of darkness expectations were low from the start but i think they are some of his best movies.

LOL "i came here to eat bubble gum and kick ass... and i'm all out of bubble gum.." wonderful movie... loved it... once again this movie is full of the truth!! this was another recommendation from a book i'm reading "remember who you are"

Very good Sci-Fi flick, I believe the fist fight in this flick has got to go down as one of the longest in movie history, in my opinion this flick racked up an: A.

one of the best here people. don't come here for oscar nominations, but come here for fun. i ain't seen this in years, and many before that, and it's still bad ass and relevant. one of the best fight scenes of the eighties, too. also, if your crazy like me, the subtext is true and there is a fight going on behind the scenes. 10/10 because i believe it's a must see "educational" flick and bad ass to boot. watch V right after, lol. i hope they make a remake on par with the V remake. yes, fifth dimensional beings are in control of the world and the media.

Awesome, Carpenter at his best! Social commentary disguised as horror/sci-fi/gunfigtin, worthy of A. Huxley or G. Orwell in their prime. Origin of the one liner "I'm here to kick ass and chew bubblegum.. and I'm all outta gum", usually attributed to Duke Nukem - I could go on (and on) .. so I will. Essential viewing for any student of sci-fi history, keeps ya guessin, fast paced, awesome action, Carpenter soundtrack, great characters, and bloody funny ta boot. 5/5 skulls!

I've always loved this movie. Great plot and extra good acting from "Rowdy".

One of the best I have ever seen, loved Rowdy Roddy Piper in it. Some of the best lines I have ever heard are in it. Decent Sci-fi too!

One of favorite John Carpenter films. Too bad Roddy Piper didn't continue with the acting, he made an interesting character/action actor.

this one is pretty cheesy for an 80s sci fi movie but worth a good laugh.

I remember when I first saw this film; it's a fantastic concept. An element of truth in there somewhere... It is also a big family favourite. Ever since my mum brought a VHS recorder in the early 80's, I've been hooked on films... :) If they ever decide to remake this, they better get it spot on. Think of all the great stories untold, because of low budget. So I am glad this made it through, especially from that era with its big budget Disney crap. Great film 8/10
