I remember this version of 'Salems Lot being pretty bad but I must admit that I enjoyed it a lot this time round. I would still recommend the 1979 version with David Soul over this but if you're not a fan of older movies then this does the job. Anyone who has ever read the novel will also be able to acknowledge that 'Salems Lot 2004 has a lot of parts from the book which were not present in the 70's film. 6/10

brilliant movie dont be fooled by some people's comments they haven't a clue like snoooooooooze wtf she must have been high when watching lol yeah anyways im a horror movie fan so i would defiantly watch it peace lol

slow to start but the first half gets you set up for the second half. a complete story!! how novel, lol. the acting was not the best but fairly decent. with a bigger budget and some smart editing this could be a great big screen hit. Both this one and the original are good. about the same level for different reasons though. Use the 2 part from stagevu. the other links cut off too early. 7/10

Really good film a bit slow at the beginning, get's alot better half way through. Found the story line really good. 8/10

Quite long, but worth the time if you have it (I'd suggest a Sunday afternoon). If you don't have the time to spare catch the original with David Soul, just as creepy with better direction and acting, plus an hour and a half shorter.

Although this adaptation of the Stephen King novel doesn't exactly follow the book,for example the time it's set in,it's still a pretty good watch,perhaps a little long though,7/10.
