In spite of all the plot holes and the long series of nonsensical situations in the story ,this movie is very watchable and fable like.The combination of Blanchett,Ribisi and the stunning landscape plus the solid direction by Tykwer makes it entertaing enough...3/5.

Really great movie. Barely knew what were they saying most of the time but that's didn't bother me because I could tell from their emotions. I love Cate's and Giovanni's movies, they are both amazing, amazing actors and Cate is one of the best actressess or just actors. Some people might think it's a waste of time but it really isn't, the whole setting and the story line, even with the way it ended makes the movie what it is.

There's a moral psychodrama about a woman who, motivated by conscience, attempts to blow up a businessman responsible for selling drugs to children, only to find that her victims were innocent children - and how she deals with that (Kieszlowski). And there's a conspiracy-in-high-places good-looking-couple-in-manhunt-across-scenic-Italy action film (Tykwer). Both of these are films I would gladly watch, but how they somehow got gene-spliced together into this lame chimera is a mystery. With respect to those posters who like the film [could be I'm missing something?]; and granted that fans of Blanchett / Ribisi (who are v. good, in fact) won't be put off... the film itself just doesn't work, imho.

This was a BIG waste of time. Subtitles would of been nice, who have to guess whats going on.

I personally loved this film from start to about 3 minutes to the end, lol. Granted the ending is way out there but it's more of a metaphor then reality so just use your imagination for the ending. It's a wonderful love story and someone's willingness to die for love, need be. Great cast and Cate Blanchett was a treat to watch in this. 9/10
