I dont often get surprises in cinema now when i know im going to be watching an action movie like Salt because you expect predictability, I always watch films twice before reviewing them as well but Salt still left some unanswered questions in my mind and i felt that was a good thing.

This film was originally intended for Tom Cruise and im not sure i would have enjoyed it so much if he took on the part compared to Jolie instead he opted for the limper "Knight & Day". Jolie was enigmatic, compelling and effortlessly confident playing the lead role for sure. Jolies task in Salt was to make us question what emotions she's showing and if they're honest or simply an act. The marketing campaign cements this by asking, "Who is Salt?"...thats a question you might be asking yourself for some time after viewing.

The action scenes in the movie are crafted with serious skill and precision increasing the level of tension and excitement as the film continues. The scenes are largely staged without the aid of CGI or silly special effects and it’s a nice change of pace to witness an action movie in which the presence of computers is almost entirely unfelt. Real stuntwork, real sets and practical effects are the name of the game in Salt, and these elements are being employed by a director who knows what he’s doing.

Jolie was obviously the show stealer here with Peabody (Chiwetel) & Winter (Schreiber) both crisp in their roles as the chasing government agents. There was always the question of who's side is she on...whats she upto now and who is Salt?

Oscar-winning Cinematographer Robert Elswitt also brings a level of visual flair and atmosphere that doesn’t usually get seen in films like this. With Salt i was pleased to witness a film that managed to blend such fine technical merits with an unconventional plot and pyrotechnics. Most viewers will be chuckle happy at the film’s conclusion, which I believe is precisely the reaction the film was aiming for. Grab a bucket of popcorn and add some Salt.

The action was grounded in physics and therefore made it messy, mean and hard hitting. Then we have bon-a-fied movie superstar Angelina Jolie in her best action performance. Where "Salt" also succeeds stupendously is with Evelyn Salt's characterization, which is complex, dualistic, fascinating and ultimately enigmatic. Jolie thrives in this role which plays to literally every one of her strengths as an actress. You root for her and sympathize with her even though it's never clear what side Evelyn truly falls into. It's in this intense dynamic between plot, character and action that leaves "Salt" head and shoulders over films like "Eclipse", "Clash of the Titans", "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" and yes, even "Inception". But also on a side note it's just plain refreshing to see a film that has Russians trying to take down America, crisp and clean action cinematography and a true movie star like Jolie leading things along. This is classic filmmaking at it's finest.

MOVIE WAS GOOD BUT WAS NO BOURNE IDENTITY AND IT SEEMS WERE IN FOR A SEQUAL. A GOOD SPY MOVIE I WISH THE PREVIEWS DIDNT GIVE AWAY THE TWIST. IT WAS FUN TO WATCH BUT ITS ONE OF THOSE MOVIES YOU REALLY WOULDNT HAVE MINDED HAVING ANOTHER 45 MINS OF BACKSTOREY TO REALLY ROUND OUT WHAT WAS HAPPENING AND WHY.

Angelina Jolie seems to be getting better with age. Also, she is the beast actress in the world for action movies. When I was watching this movie it felt like it was made just for her. Not only is Jolie great in Salt but this was an amazing movie all around.

An Angelina Jolie movie! Who wouldnt wanna watch it? Even if the movie is bad, there's always the option of staring at her sultry lips. But Salt was not a bad movie and believe it or not, I did not get a chance to stare at her lips. The movie is fast-paced, various twists to the plot and a James Bond like action scenes. Great acting from Angelina and great movie altogether. Must give this movie a chance. My rating: 8/10

Many reviewers here have stated that this movie isn't realistic because 'Salt doesn't get bruised enough' or 'no one her size could...' Have these people ever been to an action movie before? NO ACTION MOVIE IS REALISTIC. They are all written to be over-the-top because that's what makes them entertaining. We suspend disbelief to enter the world of the action-hero (or heroine) and we go along for the thrilling ride that is sometimes so over-the-top it's ridiculous! But that's what makes it fun. If action movies were realistic, they would be slow and boring. This movie does not cross the line anymore than any other action movie.

Salt delivers exactly what is promised -- a solid 100 minutes of action. It keeps you watching, it keeps you guessing (even when it turns out you were right in some cases), and it entertains from start to finish. If you like the action movie genre, chances are you will enjoy this movie.

As for the reviewers who criticized the way Russians are portrayed, the action genre plays to comic book-like caricatures. The villains are no more realistic than the heroine! This isn't a documentary!

If you like action movies, give Salt a go. Angelina won't disappoint.

I liked watching Salt with Angelina Jolie.

In this film she is playing a double role and it is so interesting to find out that what you think is happening in the film is not really what it is.

This is a crazy movie filled with action, twist and excitment so be sure you watch it.

This movie was classic Angelina Jolie! I have enjoyed her recurring roles as the tough but still soft and sensitive lady hero. The part that she played in this film as a Russian programmed plant was probably one of her better roles as it pertained to her action in this movie. In some sense you may even get a "McGyver-ish" feel to the way she was able to beat every obstacle that came her way!

This movie was good, and didn't disappoint in the action, suspense and overall flow of the movie....Looking forward to the sequel and this one is a must watch!!!

Usually i dont watch movies like this but i found it to be quite entertaining really. It has alot of twists and turns to keep people wondering what will happen next and i quite often guessed wrong. Keep an open mind if your thinking about skipping this film because you may be surprised at what it has in store for you!

SALT is a great action movie filled with surprises and turns and you might feel the rug is pulled from under your feet. It stimulate your hatred and manipulates you emotions like no other movie. Most of all, the action is just fabulous! Every action scene contains Class A performance that looks inhumane! The plot is also very tricky. You almost never know the truth. Almost in ever scene you can be surprised. The ending is very thoughtful and interesting. Overall it is just awesome.

Fantastic movie, reminded me very much of the film Shooter, which is a favourite of mine. It's amazing how someone so trusted by the American government can be so deceitful and how easy it is to cover your past. I am very intrigued by sleeper agents and I would recommend watching this if you're into action-packed movies... oh, and Angelina Jolie plays the part fantastically, great actress.

Not being a big Angelina fan, I was expecting a mediocre flick. I was wrong! Great storyline, excellent plot twists and very decent action sequences and even though Jolie doesn't have much acting range she pulls off her character very well. Don't skip any parts or else you might get really confused. A sequel is supposedly in the works.

This film is awesome! The plot is great and the twists in the story line are just mind boggling. The acting is pure solid and the film is well shot and directed. The action in this movie is outstanding, one of the best action films to date. This is a must watch!

As a nuts and bolts action movie, this is an entertaining piece of adrenaline-pumping entertainment. While the action can be chopped up a little more than is preferable, director Phillip Noyce weaves together chase scenes and gun battles that allow for greater comprehension of screen geography and practical stunt work.

Salt is a good bet for 100 minutes of fun but it doesn't have the spark, originality or true thrills of something like Enemy Of The State or the Bourne series.

Will you like it hmm certainly are worse movies you could spend your time on me i did enjoy it today i started watching it for the 2nd time and only managed a quarter of the way through once was enough it seems :)

This movie was a little confusing at first but then things came around and it was really action packed. Twists turns but a really good movie. Alot of action and suspense. I would definetly reccommend this movie. Angelina is a very good actress. Great movie and everything tied up nicely in the end. 5/5

Just saw Salt in india,its awesome action movie with a twist in the end,AJ rocks.It was like the movie had just now started but so soon the movie got over,very fast pased movie,awesome.Action sequence are all superb and very well done.please upload soon
