this remake was pretty good.It was better than i expected and Jackie Chan did his best to make his role different yet similar to Pat Morita.Jaden Smith did a great job and took this role seriously. I give it a 4/5.

I hope they didn't pay this kid because he can't act at all! If his parents weren't who they are he wouldn't be stinking up the screen. Ok film if you have nothing else to watch....I mean nothing, Bill and ted's bogus journey, Kazaam, nothing.

Fail. A remake is rarely better than the original (like a film adaption is rarely better than the book), so I went into this watching it as a new film (trying not to compare) and it was still bad. Aside from being far too long.. This is one of those films which would never have been made if mom and dad weren't known actors with ample money to produce it. Jaden may grow into a decent actor but it's going to be some time before he can prove his talent rather than just being seen for his parents. Just watch the original.

Jaden smith is going to be famous for no other reason than his mother and father have put him there! Why remake a film that really didnt need to be remade...yet again...Hollywood shows us just how original it can be.

What is the point in remaking the Original one the original was a master piece then this crap comes out what are movie makers thinking seen as we have the technology now lets tell george lucas to remake the original star wars movies see if they can screw up an other original rip off this was a waste of time 4/10

9/10 from me. I definitely preferred this version to the originals- though that was a surprise. I was ready to hate it as just another lame remake. It surprised me, though, in how touching it really was. And Jaden Smith is really coming along as an amazing actor! Given the chance, I think he might be better than his Dad! (Who is amazing, but pretty limited to his acting skills and genres). I like to use this site to see which movies I like, and I will definitely be buying this one to add to my collection!

A terrible effort, very lazy, barely moving from the original script, like I said, very lazy and so therefore every second is predictable which although a remake, I expect a few changes in there. Little Smith is irritating, more so than I thought possible. I just hated this movie, even had to watch it in 2 bits.

The fight scenes and training scenes are more realistic in this movie. Chan showed some dramatic emotions in this one, first that I've seen. I was skeptical about Smith but he really can act. A new star on the rise for sure. I sure did miss Mr. Miyagi though, lol. 8.5/10
