WOW! Another gem. It's amazing how horror can become excellent with just a few tweaks: Narration of the story well done, great effects, superb acting with a fairly decent script and a nice twist on certain elements of truth to the story (Aleister Crowley): 'Do What Thou Wilt'. Looking forward to watching part two. Superb 9/10.

Weird choice of characters. Lizzie Borden? I doubt she would be in Spain for a seance since she'd just been acquitted of a double murder (or is this before?). Aleister Crowley? Hmmm... ok. Too bad the dates don't match.

THIS IS EXCELLENT! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR no II SINCE LAST YEAR! IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE TO WATCH THE SECOND ONE PLEASE MSG ME!! THE VALDEMAR LEGACY 2: The Forbidden Shadow (La Herencia Valdemar II: La Sombra Prohibida in Spanish) need subtitles tho' coz i cant aspeekie the espaniol : )

very good movie, the storytelling was excellent and the unfolding of the story was perhaps slow, but very well paced in my view. This is again classic moviemaking 4/5 rating.

This was a GREAT mvie :-)). In spanish, with english subt. but very easy to follow. The plot and acting was great! 9/10

I didnt think it was funny at all hmm weird from the past comments i read! Its a great movie i have to say...cant wait for the 2nd which is said that will be out around Jan 2011

LOL I'm with you netty! I was crestfallen when it came to the end and I had to wait for part 2 (which I have been waiting for eagerly..but don't know when to expect it so good question!)..for a movie w/subtitles it was very easy to watch and I really enjoyed it! =) ~Pan

this is ma first comment on this n have watched a few movies...this is the one that left me too do this..loved it..what can i say about it ? well like everyone else we would love the 2nd part..dont get me wrong hate havin too read subtitles but u know what i bloody did n worth it..enjoy people x

This movie is very captivating.. Had my attention throughout and keeps you in serious suspense about the sequel.

I am not a horror buff but I really enjoyed this movie.Good acting and good storyline.Even with sort of a usual storyline I felt the movie was different and kept me interested what will happen next and what is the past story of the house.I thought it was cool that some famous real life people's name showed up in the movie as a character doing the seance such as Bram Stoker and Aleister Crowley...Cannot wait until tomorrow to see the second part!Highly recommended to watch some different movie.
