Better than better! The story, the leads, costumes, characters, the FX. Tippity TOP NOTCH! Love the poetic justice. Also the near-kisses in this movie are classic!Much better than movies which often depict human passion as cannibalism i.e. throwing each other against wall/floor, sloppy loud half bite/half kiss, rolling around, tearing clothes off etc. That's not so sexy anymore. In this movie the sexual tension is thick yet tasteful and refreshingly restrained.

Definitely the best adaptation to date. The costumes are really well done and the F/X are pretty decent. You can tell as the Discworld movies went along, and all proved to be big hits, the budget has gotten better and better improving the quality. Moist von Lipwig is one of the more recent character additions to Discworld, and he's a great character to follow. I was not sure who they get to play him, and if the chosen actor would do the right job, but I feel that he is presented very well. The Patrician is now played by Charles Dance, who in my mind has done the best job of any actor playing a Discworld character to date (Death and Christopher Lee could be considered, but he is just the VOICE, and David Bradbury as Cohen was brillant also). Aside from the Patrician having black hair in the novels and Dance being a ginger, Dance is the Patrician through and through. Going Postal was an excellent book and the movie does it justice. I love everything about Discworld.

What a delightful gem!Hilarious, unexpected twists and turns, great acting and keeps up a good pace. The voice over adds a nice touch and the location shots as well as unusual perspectives make for a refreshing change.Solidly put together and lots of attention to details. Some of what the main character goes through I wish could happen in real life more as the world would be better.A film I will certainly enjoy watching repeatedly.5/5

Terry Pratchett's Going Postal was a two part British television production of Sky One. It aired on Sunday 30th and Monday 31st of May 2010. As an American I really wish I could see more of this type of British broadcasting. It really was quite wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed it never having even heard of Terry Pratchett or his novels. I would recommend this to anyone with a soul and quite honestly doubly to those lacking thereof.

I loved it, in spite of the screen-play rewrite that the film industry feels compelled to make, my only issue is with Angua, where is her hair? She is supposed to be so richly endowed with a mass of golden locks that she can't get a helmet to fit...

@scalvim - yeah, agree this is the only respectable discworld film

Bloody Good Job! Of course the books are way better, but I was truly surprised by how good this is! And having into account it is low budget, it's nothing short of extraordinary. Also giving more emphase to the romantic side of the story than in the books, this movie manages to deliever an extra twist to it! Marvellous casting choices too, the patrician really made an impression on me, and David Suchet for the villian, its a refreshing performance, and overall a most enjoyable viewing experience! I worder if they will make the sequel, "Making Money" into a movie soon? Do not miss out on the Terry Pratchett Discworld! This movie and "The Colour of Magic", plus the "Hogfather", may be underdogs in the cinema world, but you know what Moist would say to that, "the underdog always find some soft spot to bite"! Suberb Movie!

terry pratchett is a pure genius... another wicked one off from the story-teller extraordinaire... i loved every bit of it, except when i was screaming at the screen when david suchet was up to no good b/c he plays a real good bad guy 10/10
