Watch The Karate Kid: Daniel and his mother move from New Jersey to California. She has a wonderful new job, but Daniel quickly discovers that a dark haired Italian boy with a Jersey accent doesn't fit into the blond surfer crowd. Daniel manages to talk his way out of some fights, but he is finally cornered by several who belong to the same karate school. As Daniel is passing out from the beating he sees Miyagi, the elderly gardener leaps into the fray and save him by outfighting half a dozen teenagers. Miyagi and Daniel soon find out the real motivator behind the boys' violent attitude in the form of their karate teacher. Miyagi promises to teach Daniel karate and arranges a fight at the all-valley tournament...

This is not a sequel. It's the original 'Karate Kid' movie back when Hollywood wasn't reusing movies to make a quick buck. A classic that is still better than the remake. I love the music. It's in my DVD collection. A must own!

this was the best karate kid movie out of all of them. I think Pat Morita and Ralph Macchio both played their parts well and it had an original story. The remake is good but fails in comparison. The other parts to this movie are good too including the one with Hilary Swank but this is the best one! 5/5

Classic. It was a pretty entertaining movie, I definetly like it better than the new one. The acting was alright. I just didn't think it was as good as everyone makes it seem. Still this is worth watching.

8/10 - Brilliant. Wax on, Wax off - spawned a generation of kids wanting to do karate. Cast did a brilliant Job. ***Spoiler*** - always wanted the skeleton costume the Kobra Kai wear when i was a young chap.

"Get him a body bag.... Yeah!" One of the all-time great lines said off-camera. It's good to go back and see those old favorites once in awhile, and this was no exception. I still love this movie after all these years.

Still one of my all time favorites. I reject the existence of any lack luster remakes. No one can replace this cast. RIP Noriyuki.

Always the best. The remake was unnecessary. True classic right here. Also, number 2 was pretty good as well. Don't watch Karate Kid 3 though that one sucked.
