Watered down soap takes liberties with history. "Katyn" is a more realistic depiction of Second World War. Also "The Soviet Story" will shatte illusions about Hitler being the worst monster of mass murder--could it have been Stalin?

Great film. All the acting was great. Its good to see a different perspective on a war film.

These movies are always powerful. Great story and casting. I really loved some of the characters. Zus was awesome, and a couple of pretty jewish girls helped too lol 4/5.

Actually it wasn't just Jews who suffered.But many other groups, including homosexuals, criminals,political,homeless, unemployed, disabled,mentally ill and those who stood up against Hitler who also were targeted. A total of 13 million were actually killed in camps. Many Germans actually took an active role in helping to save lives. Only those who stood by and did nothing should feel shame and that includes from other nations as well. The lesson we need to always remember is evil triumphs when good men do nothing.Good men can come from anywhere.

Well, they were three Jewish brothers who formed the largest resistance group during the second world war.It would have been difficult to portray them as not Jewish since the story was about them saving their fellow Jewish people.It is sad that most people never heard of Jewish resistance fighters. Your obvious lack of knowledge proves how hard it is for most people to even know of such a thing as a Jewish resistance fighter!

Incredible film and true story long overdue.For those who don't know, actual film was used which shows Hitler,hence the reason his name is listed in the credits.The three brothers actually formed the largest Jewish resistance group in WW2.Something even most Jews did not know about until the book and film came out.The majority of people believe Jews simply were victims and did not engage in any form of fighting back.A good reason this film is so badly needed, and the lengths which the director went to portray accurately exactly what went on.The focus is not just to survive, but to live and one can search the Internet and find lots of information on what these remarkable brothers accomplished.There is a museum in St Petersburg, Florida dedicated to them, as well as a wonderful New York Times article by the director which goes into great detail on the creation of this film.This isn't just another film about war and those who suffered through it. It is a remarkable story about three ordinary men who helped create something that changed the course of history by their very act of defiance and saved lives along the way. We live among the shadows of giants often and never even realize it.We often seek out horror for the pleasure of getting frightened alittle, yet the real horrors of life we ignore which are so often right next door.

Actually heard that this movie wasn't great but after watching it I'd have to say that whoever said that was wrong. 7.5/10 Really enjoyed it.

Great movie and the fact that it was history was even more impressive.
