8/10 pacino for me, displayed great acting skills here. i liked the plot it was well written and produced the only thing was the lack of thrill/action i just wasn't sucked in.....i kinda watched the movie thinking any min now....still worth a watch

One of the very few mafia movies that doesnt rely on violence to elicit emotional reactions from the viewer, Donnie Brasco will make you feel as if you cant decide who to empathize with. Should you root for the undercover cop who schemes to penetrate the mob via Al Pacino. Or should you feel for the unsuccessful, aging low-level mafioso, (Pacino) who sincerely took in Depp as his own kid and had a relationship with him. Just as in life, no easy answers. Watch for the intense scene in a Japanses restaurant that builds up to a classic dramatic crescendo and will make you appreciate the fine acting involved.

Johnny Depp did a great job besides Al Pachino..!!..But,the movie lacks in storyline and direction.I would say this is an average movie..!!

This was a really good movie. Wonderful acting. I loved the storyline. If you like this you will probably like Goodfellas! This is definetly worth watching.

Amazing story,plain and simple.Depp is magnificent at what he does & it sure as hell doesn't hurt having the Great Al Pacino on board either. 10/10

I thought the acting/plot were ok. but I certainly wouldn't say that the movie was great or amazing, since the real action only kicked in in the second half of the flick(the first half however was too stretched IMHO). The ending was unpredictable which added mystery to the whole viewing experience. so over not bad- 6/10

Absolutely fantastic movie, and I didnt realise it was based on a true story till of course the end!! Both Al-Pachino and Johnny depp play their parts so well, you actually start believing they are real characters 10/10 a must watch!!!!

I remember watching this film a few days after first seeing Heat, and it just made me an even bigger fan of Al Pacino and made him more bad ass in my eyes:) I wish Johnny Depp would do more of these roles like he did in Blow:D This movie had some great performances and some good scenes Michael Madsen is just an added bonus haha. 6.7/10 I like movies that are based on True stories too! Johnny Depp's wife did have her annoying moments that bitch:L If you like Mafia movies then watch this man! You wont be let down trust me:D

This is based on a true story, very good movie, sadly they did have to put a Hollywood spin to it, nevertheless I still give it 9/10

Pretty good movie. Not much violence but, more of a story being told of a big tim mafia guy trusting the wrong man.. I have to give it Pacino and Depp. This is worth wacthing. 4/5
