I have been a fan of this movie for years and having just re-watched again I am certain that it is one of my favorites. Walken, Stoltz and the rest of the cast deliver charismatic performances, although the real show stealer is Viggo Mortensen as possibly the most unsettling on screen Devil in film. Classic. 10/10

Christopher Walken's what makes this average film worth watching! Almost any (though of course not all) film with Walken in is worth watching... just for him alone... Can't beat him in True Romance though. THAT is a masterful part. =O)

Not generally a fan of this genre.. but this one rocked!! Walken and co. were all spectacular.. good story.. nice effects.. a very enjoyable watch. The follow ups did not come close. 4.5/5

Incredible movie. The plot was well written, the story's very appealing and I liked how they sort of merged a bit of christianity with the indian rituals. But what really got to me and what I love most about this movie is the acting. Great cast can make a difference, and it actually did for this one. Christopher Walken's part was amazing, but for me, the best of the movie was Viggo Mortensen. He played Lucifer better than any I've seen on the big screen. He really found the essence of the character and transformed it into something tangible. Elias Koteas was amazing aswell. Wonderful film, strongly recommended and definitely a must-watch classic.

Christopher Walken, Eric Stoltz, Virginia Madsen make this movie outstanding. I love the story line, classic Bible story with Gabriel. Like Legion and Gabriel......

Excellent religious/horror movie,Christopher Walken plays an absolute blinder as the angel Gabriel,and we even get a couple of appearances by Vigo Mortensen as the Devil himself,8/10.

This is a masterpiece.Christopher Walken and Viggo Mortensen,That's all it takes for a good ass movie.This is collection worthy.Too bad all the other sequels suck.

I loved the acting, you can definitely tell that it's an older movie, but all in all a classic! All movies nowadays are thoughtless and brain numbing, when well they come out with a truly good original movie? I don't want to have to keep watching the classics because everything new is horrible, movie graphics haven't even improved over the past 5 years it's all in a standstill! Come on people come out with something original and full of excellent graphics with a story and a plot, and make it over an hour and a half long.

Have seen this movie 12 yrs ago and still it gets my appreciation for the story and the good actors who did well on this film. Christopher Walken has always been the perfect choice to play creepy roles like this one... good movie indeed
