Great flick, Goerge C. is gives his usual solid performance.Good Canadian movie from the days when there weren't that many.

This is a really good ghost/murder mystery classis for its time.A must see for the ghost story fans. 7.5/10

fantastic stuff......i love scary films and dont scare to easily,but with this i did,truly great film. got a bit of a sore neck now as i was so tense watching it lol.

it's a little slow if you aren't used to older movies. It's very classic ghost story. Good sorta sad, and interesting. Some parts might be scary.

I really didn't like it. I hate most ghost movies though. I'm a pretty big fan of horror, and i'd say this was decently frightening. Worth a watch for you classic horror lovers out there!

One of the few "true" ghost stories that have been made in the past several decades. No blood, gore or psycho killers trying to waste scantily clad co-eds. Just lots of creepy atmosphere, interesting characters and a great mystery. I agree with several of the previous reviewers that this really isn't a horror film at all, but it packs in more suspense and dread than anything else thats been released in the past 10 years or so! The story is simple; George C. Scott is a famous music professor who, after the tragic loss of his wife and daughter moves into an old and VERY creepy big house. Soon afterward, he comes to the realization that the place is haunted and the ghost is pissed! Trish Van Deveere is great as the realtor/love interest and Melvyn Douglas is awesome as the senator who may or may not have something to do with the house! The scene with the ball on the staircase is considered by several magazines and best of lists to be one of the creepiest scenes in modern film! Easily worth watching if you want a great ghost story that depends on dialogue and primal fears instead of snappy one-liners and gore.

this really isnt that scary it is interesting and there are a few creepy moments but this was really more of a mystery than a horror 8/10

It was a ok movie. Nice story but the end was a bit pointless. No horror or gore but still entertaining subject! 3/5

The Changeling is a true horror classic. I've seen it a multitude of times and it never ceases to scare the bejesus out of me. There's no gore at all in this movie so if that's what you're looking for, then this isn't the movie for you. ★5/5★

Great movie from back aways. I really enjoy a good ghost story no matter how old it is. George C. always dependable for an excellent performance. This is one is just a ghost story, no gore or sex, just a very good scary movie.
